  • Publication number: 20080161629
Abstract: An improved radioactive waste (RW) processing is usable, e.g., for reducing radioactivity of wastes produced by nuclear plants. The processing comprises an entry and a base stages. The entry stage is exemplified either by a “standard” option or an “own” option encompassing the grinding RW and obtaining a pulp. Both the options provide technological mixture for the base processing, which encompasses intermingling the mixture with predetermined substances, kneading and filtering the mixture, removing wastes, processing the mixture in either a regular or in a special dissolver, or in both. The resulted product is subjected to rotation in a special centrifuge utilizing the Searl effect that allows further reducing the RW radioactivity. The so treated RW is then packed into specially constructed glass containers, or compressed and covered by special glass-mass. Composition and processing instructions for the substances and glass-mass, and the constructions of the special dissolver and centrifuge are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070133348
Abstract: A riddling machine for intensification of depositing lees in wine is provided. One embodiment comprises a first and a second row of struts respectively supporting pivotable gearboxes and supporting boxes, between which inclined shafts are disposed, and rotatable by a revolving motor through a common shaft, extending through the gearboxes, and by gears contained in the gearboxes. The inclined shafts' tilt is variable by an angular motor driving an angle-transmitting disk and the common shaft, further turning the gearboxes fixedly securing lateral bearings that support the inclined shafts from first ends. Second ends of the inclined shafts are supported by lateral bearings fixedly mounted in the supporting boxes, which are optionally attached to the second row struts by flexible suspension members. Each pair of the inclined shafts supports and revolves at least one bottle of wine. Most embodiments include control means to actuate said motors. Some embodiments comprise vibrating means.

  • Publication number: 20060092044
Abstract: A traffic light device is provided, comprising green, yellow, and red light displays, wherein the yellow light display has a capability to advise the motorist on the time remaining to the end of the yellow signal, and accordingly to the beginning of the red signal, in the form of numerals, exhibited on the face of the yellow light display during the time of illumination of the yellow signal, and corresponding to the number of seconds remaining to the end of the yellow signal. The yellow light display is generally connected to a countdown unit, controlling the sequential displaying of said numerals, which provides aforesaid capability. A general switching control device controls the countdown unit, particularly supplying to the countdown unit signals specifying the time period during which the yellow light must be displayed. This traffic light device's capability increases safety of driving, and may save people's lives and health.

  • Patent number: 6955151
Abstract: An internal combustion engine has two cylinders located opposite to one another, two pistons each movable in a respective one of the cylinders and connected with one another so as to move jointly in said cylinders in two opposite directions, and means for converting the joint movement of the pistons into a rotary movement, valve means provided in the cylinders, so that when the cylinders jointly move in one direction one of the cylinders perform a working stroke in one of the cylinders, while when the pistons jointly move in an opposite direction the other of the pistons perform a working stroke in the other of the cylinders.

  • Publication number: 20040244597
Abstract: The offered engineering solution (technology) belongs to the food industry —particularly, to the wine industry —and can be used for riddling (dead yeast cells are accumulated in the neck of the bottle) during champagne production (wine production according to the champagne method). The Equipment allows maintaining the equal slant angle for the large number of wine bottles during their repeated revolving. The Equipment has a frame and at least one revolving platform for bottles; moreover, the platform is designed in the form of a disc with holes. Every hole holds a case for a bottle. The Equipment production and exploitation are not difficult, it is reliable, has a great productivity, and guarantees the control of riddling in every bottle at any process stage.

  • Publication number: 20040201497
Abstract: A traffic light has three individual elements for producing a green signal, a yellow signal, and a red signal, and control unit for controlling the producing unit, the control units being formed and operating so that the element producing the green signal first generates a permanent non-blinking green light and thereafter the same element producing the permanent green light generates a green light which flashes for three-six seconds immediately before the yellow signal is produced, to give drivers an additional period of time to decide whether or not to stop when the yellow signal appears.

  • Publication number: 20040129713
Abstract: This invention belongs to containers for liquid products and can be used as a package for drinks. At the present moment hermetical cans made in the form of cardboard (pasteboard) containers for drinks are widely spread. They are small (compact), and it is not difficult to transport them as they have no necks. But it is the lack of necks that makes them less convenient for usage in comparison with more traditional bottles. The suggested container for drinks consists of a stiff outer shell and an inner sheath, which are interconnected and have a common discharge opening with a cap.

  • Patent number: 6632069
Abstract: Imperfect design of shroud or identical parts of the blades of steam/gas turbines, including the adjoining seals, leads to the decrease in reliability and efficiency. These drawbacks are eliminated by way of drilling of radial holes in the shroud of the blades. The transfer of steam through the shroud holes results in the relief of the pressures gradient on the surface of the shroud and prevents the formation of metal oxide, salt and other deposits on the inner surfaces of the shroud. The quantity and diameter of the holes, as well as their corresponding disposition and the values of radial clearances in shroud crowning seals regulate their efficiency.
