  • Patent number: 8241576
Abstract: A process and apparatus wherein multiple instantaneous pressure pulsations with a regulated frequency and amplitude are applied to various biological substances in order to eliminate the undesired microorganisms in these substances with minimal negative effect on the quality of these substances, and, further, to use these in mass production of foodstuffs pharmaceuticals for treatment of human blood or plasma, and for research to establish a specific frequency of pressure pulsations at which a particular type of bacteria could be selectively destroyed while other components of the substance remain intact.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 13, 2007
Date of Patent: August 14, 2012

  • Patent number: 6082991
Abstract: An injection blow molding machine utilizing an extruder and having interchangeable machine tooling components, for manufacturing injection blow molded articles of different configurations and sizes, includes a stationary machine platen; a movable machine platen which is movable toward and away from the stationary machine platen along a machine axis, to close and open a mold; opposite support rails mounted to the movable platen; a shuttle plate mounted on the movable machine platen between the opposite support rails for movement with the movable machine platen and movable perpendicular to the machine axis and having a rear surface in close proximity to the movable machine platen; core pin retainers mounted on the shuttle plate for movement therewith, each core pin retainer holding an interchangeable core pin that receives a parison to be blown into a bottle; slides movably mounted on the shuttle plate for movement with the shuttle plate and movable toward and away from each other in close proximity to a front

  • Patent number: 5097974
Abstract: Frangible areas of different configurations are formed between the cap and skirt portions of a unitary molded plastic closure, with an internal continuous groove formed on the inside surface of the skirt portion having a diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of an upper cap portion, the groove having an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the cap, the groove lockingly engaging in a tight-fitting manner with the outer peripheral wall of the annular collar on the neck of the container when the closure is assembled with the container, and the groove together with ribs formed proximate to the groove provide a locking engagement between the container neck and the lower skirt portion, facilitating forming an annular collar on the container neck with an outer diameter larger than the outer diameter of the upper cap portion so as to prevent the closure from being pried off by children during use of the contents of the container.

  • Patent number: 4909404
Abstract: A plastic unitary molded child-resistant, snap-on, tampered-evident closure includes an upper cap portion having internal spaced ribs disposed for cooperation with the upper annular collar on the neck portion of a container, only one rib being sized to pass through the gap of the upper annular collar, and the upper cap portion having an indication indicating the location of the one rib; a lower skirt portion connected to the upper cap portion and having an inside diameter close to the outside diameter of the upper cap portion; weakened intermediate portions circumferentially formed about the closure at the connection between the lower skirt portion and upper cap portion; the upper cap portion including about its circumference a plurality of vertically extending intermittently spaced grooves extending down to the weakened intermediate portions; a plurality of corresponding openings which separate the weakened intermediate portions and extend through the connection between the upper cap portion and lower skirt

  • Patent number: 4784281
Abstract: Frangible areas of different configuration are formed between cap and skirt portions of different embodiments of molded plastic closures. Such frangible areas formed from within the closure by throughcuts, undercuts, and grooves are facilitated by also forming the skirt to extend from and diverge out from the cap to facilitate ejection of the closure from its mold; and by forming one or more surfaces on the skirt to also facilitate ejection of the closure from its mold.
