  • Patent number: 6924629
Abstract: A device and a method for the control of a generator, for example a claw-pole generator, with which the rectifier bridge connected to the generator can be temporarily short-circuited, as a result of which power is temporarily stored in the stator inductors, which results in higher phase voltages. Suitable selection of the control frequency for a transistor, which makes the short-circuiting of the diode bridge possible, allows an output voltage of the generator to be set to the desired voltage level which is clearly higher than the conventional vehicle electrical system voltage. The diode bridge itself can be replaced by controllable switching elements (transistors) and a voltage adjustment is implemented using suitable controls.

  • Patent number: 6773039
Abstract: A plug-in coupling having a base body (6), a sealing ring (12, 13), a locking ring (40) and an annular body which can be connected to the base body (6). A pipe end (4, 5) can be locked in position by the locking ring (40). The plug-in coupling of the invention enables a connection to be made with at least one pipe end in a simple, functionally reliable manner, in such a way that pipes made of different materials can be used together. The pipe ends (4, 5) can be inserted into an axial annular gap or space (27) between the base body (6) and the annular body (18, 19) in such a way that the sealing ring (12) lies adjacent the interior of the pipe end (4, 5), making a good seal with the pipe end, and also in such a way that the locking ring (40) is located in the annular gap (27). The locking ring (40) is prestressed and adjoins the locking surface (20) of the annular body (18) on one side and the exterior surface of the inserted pipe end (4, 5) on the other side.

  • Publication number: 20020162373
Abstract: A straightening machine for straightening an elongated body, such as a pipe, a composite pipe or a rod, including a machine frame (2,3) and a number of radially adjustable straightening rolls (32-35) mounted alongside a straightening channel (20) and offset or alternatingly on supports (24-27) in the direction of the longitudinal axis (10) and in a circumferential direction. The machine allows an adjustment to different diameters or outer contours of the elongated bodies, and for this purpose, the supports (24-27) are guided in at least one displacement plate (8, 9) about the longitudinal axis (10) of the straightening channel (20). The displacement plate (8, 9) includes first adjustment elements (36-39) which engage second adjustment elements (40, 41) on the supports (24-27) such that the radial spacing of the straightening rolls (32-35) relative to the longitudinal axis (10) is changed by turning the displacement plate (8, 9).

  • Patent number: 6359421
Abstract: A method for optimized power and efficiency regulation of rotary current generators with an associated converter bridge, in particular synchronous machines, is described in which at least three regulation ranges are defined, within which ranges the regulation of the generator takes place by different criteria. The definition of the regulation ranges is done in particular as a function of rpm and as a function of the desired set-point power. The regulation extends both to the exciter current and to the stator current and is done by means of various regulators that exchange information with one another.

  • Patent number: 6300746
Abstract: A method for regulating a generator is described in which the rectified output voltage furnished by the generator is converted, under certain preconditions, with the aid of a direct voltage converter. The generator can be operated either in a free operating mode or a regulated operating mode. If the generator voltage output in the particular operating state is not equivalent to the on-board electrical voltage, then the generator voltage is either raised or lowered with the aid of the voltage converter. The selection of the generator operating mode is done as a function of rpm or voltage, in such a way that the available generator power or energy conversion efficiency is as high as possible.

  • Patent number: 6191562
Abstract: Circuit configuration for degradation of the stored magnetic energy of a field winding of a generator, where a battery voltage is applied to the field winding, having a power switch that is in operative connection with the field winding and is controllable by timed pulses from a clock control and which controls the storage and degradation of energy of the field winding. A zener diode is arranged between the field winding and a control input of a power switch for control of the energy degradation of the field winding, in particular of the power switch.
