Abstract: The invention relates to a column that can be calibrated, in particular for a piece of furniture, wherein the column 100, 101 that can be calibrated has a stationary part 4, at least one movable part 2, 3, and a calibrating means 6, 13, 14, and the movable part 2, 3 can be transferred from a retracted state to a plurality of extended states, and wherein a calibration position of the column 100, 101 coincides with the position of the movable part 2, 3 in an extended state.
