  • Patent number: 5985315
Abstract: By placing a blood plasma in contact with a blood coagulation contact phase activator, before or during preparation of a fibrinogen-based biological glue, a preactivated biological glue is obtained which does not coagulate spontaneously but which is capable of coagulating in less than 5 minutes simply by the addition of calcium ions, without the addition of thrombin. The process has application to the field of surgery.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 30, 1997
Date of Patent: November 16, 1999
    Assignee: Inoteb
Inventors: Jean-Louis Patat, Olivier Delmas, Roland Schmitthaeusler
  • Patent number: 5618663
Abstract: A method for preparing platelet factors features a liquid that contains a suspension of thrombocytes being passed over a filter capable of retaining the thrombocytes. Thrombocytes are activated by an activating solution that is administered to the thrombocytes retained on the filter. A filtrate containing platelet factors in solution is separated by filtration while the thrombocytes are retained on the filter.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 8, 1997
    Assignees: Inoteb, Olivier Delmas
    Inventor: Olivier Delmas
  • Patent number: 5589462
Abstract: A method for the preparation of a platelet factor-enriched biological adhesive comprising freezing a platelet-enriched plasma and isolating a cryoprecipinate from the frozen platelet-enriched plasma is disclosed. Also disclosed is a method for biological adhesion employing the prepared biological adhesive.
