  • Patent number: 9281084
Abstract: A motor stand of a primary motor-driven pump unit of a pressurized water nuclear reactor comprises an upper flange and fixing means suited to ensure the fixing of transverse holding means of the said primary motor-driven pump unit, the said primary motor-driven pump unit comprising an electric motor having a lower flange suited to be integrated with the said upper flange of the said motor stand. The motor stand is characterized in that the said fixing means comprise an annular element resting on the said upper flange of the said motor stand suited to be flanged between the said upper flange of the said motor stand and the said lower flange of the said motor, the said fixing means comprising at least one radial excrescence in which there is arranged a space suited to receive the said holding means.

  • Publication number: 20160003262
Abstract: A pump is provided. The pump includes a flow chamber for the heat-transport fluid, a pump wheel which is placed entirely in the flow chamber and which comprises a hub, a shaft for rotating the pump wheel, having an axial end section rigidly connected to the pump wheel and fitted in the hub of the pump wheel, a motor for rotating the shaft around its axis, and means for causing a coolant for cooling the driveshaft to flow, at a temperature lower than that of the heat-transport fluid, along the driveshaft. The pump also includes a shield for protecting the pump wheel against a coolant leak along an outer peripheral surface of the hub of the pump wheel, the protective shield being attached to the pump wheel.

  • Publication number: 20150192142
Abstract: The present invention concerns a passive shutdown sealing device (20) for a primary motorised pump unit comprising: a split sealing ring (23) having an inactivated position and an activated position; a separator (27) made from a fusible material capable of changing state from a temperature threshold, called state change threshold, said separator (27) holding said split sealing ring (23) in the inactivated position of same when the temperature of the device (20) is lower than said state change temperature threshold; said device being characterised in that it comprises circular elastic means (22) positioned around the split sealing ring (23), said elastic means (22) being designed to bring said sealing ring (23) into the activated position of same when the temperature is greater than or equal to the state change threshold value of said separator (27).

  • Patent number: 7061148
Abstract: The cooling device according to the invention comprises, in each of the stator recesses which contain windings, a cooling tube located in the longitudinal direction of the recess and supplied with cooling fluid. The cooling tube is located in the inlet portion of each of the recesses which is closest to the air gap, and thus constitutes a thermal barrier between the windings of the stator and the permanent magnets carried by the rotor. A device for the external cooling of the stator may be combined with the tubes for cooling the internal portion of the stator.
