The method includes acquiring a first ultrasound image dataset according to a first mode. The method includes processing the first ultrasound image dataset according to the first mode to generate a first mode image. The method includes causing a display system to present the first mode image. The method includes adding at least one marker to the first mode image in response to a user input. The method includes receiving a selection to switch to a second mode. The method includes causing the display system to present a second mode image having the at least one marker added to the first mode image.
