  • Patent number: 11506107
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement (100) for connecting a first fluid-conducting component (110) to a second fluid-conducting component (120), more particularly in the exhaust gas line of a motor vehicle, having a seal (130), which seals the components (110, 120) at the connecting point, and having a band clamp (140), which encloses the components (110, 120) at the connecting point and attaches the components (110, 120) to each other. According to the invention, the seal (130) is formed with a tab (131), which protrudes at the connecting point after the components (110, 120) have been connected and is visible through a separation joint (141) of the band clamp (140). The invention further relates to a corresponding method for connecting a first fluid-conducting component (110) to a second fluid-conducting component (120).

  • Patent number: 11098633
Abstract: The invention relates to an exhaust gas aftertreatment system for an internal combustion engine comprising a first catalytic converter that has a first exhaust gas inlet to admit the exhaust gas into the first catalytic converter and has an exhaust gas outlet positioned on the opposite side, also comprising a second catalytic converter that is arranged downstream from the first catalytic converter and that is flow-connected to the first catalytic converter in order to allow the exhaust gas to pass from the first catalytic converter into the second catalytic converter and that likewise has a second exhaust gas inlet that is at a physical distance from the exhaust gas outlet of the first catalytic converter. The exhaust gas aftertreatment system also comprises a particulate filter that is arranged downstream from the second catalytic converter and that is flow-connected to the second catalytic converter in order to allow the exhaust gas to pass from the second catalytic converter into the particulate filter.

  • Patent number: 10918987
Abstract: A particulate filter for exhaust-gas aftertreatment in an internal combustion engine has a housing on which an inlet and an outlet are configured on opposite ends. The particulate filter also has a filter element arranged in the housing, said filter element having essentially parallel filter channels that are each alternatingly closed on the inlet side or on the outlet side by a closure in order to prevent gas from passing directly through the filter element. In this context, the filter channels can be divided into a first group of filter channels which are closed on the outlet side by a closure, and into a second group of filter channels which are closed on the inlet side by a gas-tight closure. The filter channels of the second group are additionally closed on the outlet side by a high-porosity closure in order to improve the cleaning effect of the particulate filter.

  • Patent number: 10704437
Abstract: An exhaust system for an internal combustion engine is connected to an outlet of the internal combustion engine and has a particulate filter. A differential pressure line for ascertaining the particulate filter load connects a section of the exhaust passage upstream from the particulate filter and a section of the exhaust passage downstream from the particulate filter to a differential pressure sensor. At an end of the differential pressure line facing the exhaust passage, a reservoir which serves to collect condensate protrudes into the exhaust passage and can be heated up by the exhaust gas in the exhaust passage. Due to the heating of the reservoir, the liquid that has collected in the reservoir evaporates and can be introduced in gaseous form into the exhaust passage through an opening in the reservoir, so that the risk of droplet formation in the exhaust passage is avoided.
