  • Publication number: 20070188534
Abstract: A deposit forming method including ejecting droplets of a deposit forming material onto a substrate, thereby forming a deposit by the droplets on the substrate, is provided. The droplets are ejected along a direction inclined at a predetermined angle in a predetermined direction with respect to a normal line of the substrate and at a predetermined pitch in the predetermined direction. The predetermined angle is set in correspondence with the diameter of each of the droplets and the predetermined pitch in such a manner that the dimension of a dot formed by each droplet on the substrate in the predetermined direction becomes greater than or equal to the predetermined pitch.

  • Publication number: 20060279689
Abstract: A plurality of element substrates are defined on a glass wafer. A seal portion containing a spacer is defined on a peripheral portion of each of the element substrates. A width measurement portion measures the width of each of the seal portions. A liquid ejecting portion ejects a droplet of liquid crystal onto a liquid crystal seal section encompassed by each seal portion by the amount corresponding to the width. This provides uniform distances between the element substrates and the associated color filter substrates.

  • Publication number: 20060266286
Abstract: A droplet discharge device includes a droplet discharger that moves above and relative to a plurality of discharge-target regions formed on a substrate and discharges a droplet of a liquid substance on the discharge-target region, a liquid substance heater that heats the liquid substance in the droplet discharger, and a substrate temperature controller that sets the absolute value of an amount of heat transferred to a vicinity of an outer periphery of the substrate larger than the absolute value of an amount of heat transferred to a vicinity of a center position of the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20060262153
Abstract: A droplet ejection apparatus includes a reservoir tank that retains liquid crystal, a substrate stage on which a mother substrate is mounted, and an ejection head that opposes the substrate stage. The ejection head and the stage are movable relative to each other. The ejection head includes a nozzle plate in which nozzles are defined. The ejection head pressurizes the liquid crystal supplied from the reservoir tank and thus ejects the liquid crystal from the nozzles onto the mother substrate. An ejection heat heater is provided around the ejection head for regulating the temperature of the liquid crystal. The ejection head heater has a projecting portion that projects from the nozzle plate toward the substrate stage. The projecting portion encompasses the nozzle plate. This maintains the viscosity of the liquid crystal in the vicinity of the nozzles at a sufficiently low level.

  • Publication number: 20060115581
Abstract: A film-forming line is for forming a film on a substrate, and includes a surface-improving treatment device, a film-forming solution applicator, and a timer controller. The surface-improving treatment device is configured to perform a surface-improving treatment on the substrate. The film-forming solution applicator is configured to apply to the substrate a film-forming solution, which is for forming the film, after the substrate has been subjected to the surface-improving treatment by the surface-improving treatment device. The time controller is configured to obtain a time period since the time the surface-improving treatment is conducted by the surface-improving treatment device on the substrate. The present invention allows a film with a substantially uniform thickness to be formed on a substrate.

  • Publication number: 20060003088
Abstract: A method of forming a thin film includes: forming a thin film on a substrate by discharging liquid material as a droplet; discharging the liquid material to a liquid material disposing-region that is wider than a thin film forming region; and drying the liquid material thereby to dispose a raising portion at the edge of the thin film in the outside of the thin film forming region.

  • Patent number: 4216448
Abstract: A microwave distributed-constant filter of a band-pass characteristic having at least one attenuation pole comprises resonator rods, each of which has an open and a shorted end and of which two first are inductively coupled in series through at least one second resonator rod. The first resonator rods are capacitively coupled direct to each other with a projection attached adjacent on at least one of the first resonator rods to the open end thereof. The first resonator rods may be coupled directly to input and output terminals of the filter. Alternatively, two third resonator rods may be interposed between the respective ones of the first resonator rods and the input and the output terminals. The third resonator rods may be inductively coupled direct to each other.

  • Patent number: 4209756
Abstract: In a circulator comprising at least three ports, a pair of opposing conductors providing the ports, and a ferrimagnetic piece between the conductors, a gap appearing between the ferrimagnetic piece and the conductor or conductors is taken up by a spring member located in the gap. The conductors serve as an opposing pair of conductors of a waveguide of the circulator. Alternatively, the conductors serve as ground plates of a stripline with a center conductor disposed between the ground plates and with a pair of ferrimagnetic pieces disposed on both sides of the center conductor between the ground plates. In the latter case, a pair of spring members is preferably located between the ferrimagnetic pieces and the respective ground plates. Preferably, the spring member is made of phosphor bronze and comprises a plate in contact with the ferrimagnetic piece and legs extended from the plate towards the respective ports and brought into contact with the adjacent one of the opposing conductors.

  • Patent number: 4197514
Abstract: In a microwave delay equalizer for an input signal of a microwave frequency having an inevitable delay distortion, a directional coupler and a pair of resonators are placed, respectively, on a center area of a conductive base member and on those side areas thereof which lie on both sides of the center area. The coupler comprises a pair of distributed-constant elements electromagnetically coupled to each other either with an air space or a dielectric plate interposed therebetween and to the respective resonators to derive from the input signal supplied to one of the elements a delay equalized output signal in the other element. Each element has a length equal to an odd multiple of a quarter wavelength of the signal travelling therealong. Each resonator consists of at least one resonance piece.
