Patent number: 6987906Abstract: An optical connection device according to the invention is an optical connection device for optically coupling light propagated through an optical waveguide to an optical element arranged outside the optical waveguide and with the following configuration. Part of the optical waveguide is removed so as to be shaped like a groove. The optical waveguide and the optical element are arranged so that an optical axis of the optical waveguide intersects an optical axis of the optical element at a specified angle inside the groove. An optical unit is arranged at a position of intersection of the optical axes for turning light by reflection from one optical axis along the other optical axis.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2003Date of Patent: January 17, 2006Assignees: Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd., Tokai University Educational SystemInventors: Kenichi Nakama, Yukinari Sekiguchi, Osamu Mikami, Yoshikazu Murata, Kentarou Miyazato

Publication number: 20010011354Abstract: An information provision control system is provided whereby preferential information can be provided only to the employees of an affiliated enterprise, using an Internet home page. An authentication server stores the domain names of terminals of affiliated parties who are permitted to obtain information stored in a contents server. Moreover, the authentication server, when the contents server is accessed, compares the domain name of the accessed terminal with stored domain names of terminals of affiliated parties, and judges if the terminal is the terminal of an affiliated party. A member management server, in the case where the terminal is the terminal of the affiliated party, limits the range of information to be provided according to the affiliated party.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2001Publication date: August 2, 2001Inventors: Masayuki Inagaki, Eiichi Yoshikawa, Toshimitsu Ushijima, Toshihiko Handa, Masami Hayasi, Osamu Mikami

Patent number: 5155737Abstract: A wide band distributed Bragg reflector having a reflectivity extremely greater than that of a narrow band distributed Bragg reflector mirror portion on the output side of a bistable type wavelength conversion device is arranged on the incident side. The input light in TM polarization mode is used as an input signal light and the wavelength conversion is performed by tuning the narrow band distributed Bragg reflection mirror portion on the output side from which an output light in TE polarization mode outgoes perpendicularly to the input light. The input signal light and the output signal light are polarized in such a manner that they are perpendicular to one another and, therefore, the device can be realized as a one-directional device. The use of any isolator is not required.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 1991Date of Patent: October 13, 1992Assignee: Nippon Telegraph & Telephone CorporationInventors: Masahiro Ikeda, Osamu Mikami, Hiroshi Yasaka, Mitsuru Naganuma, Shingo Uehara, Katsuhiko Kurumada

Patent number: 5134542Abstract: A gas-insulated switchgear comprises a sealed enclosure filled with an electrically insulating gas, isolators of three phases for making/breaking a main circuit, and earthing switches of the three phases for grounding the main circuit. The isolators and the earthing switches are disposed in the sealed enclosure, with the isolator of each phase including oppositely disposed stationary and movable side contacts, and a movable contact for turning on or off electrical connection between them. The earthing switch of each phase includes an earth stationary contact connected to one of the movable side conductors and an earth movable contact for connection with or disconnection from the earth stationary contact. The components of the isolators of the three phases and the components of the earthing switches of the three phases are respectively situated on two virtual planes, which are adjacent to each other and disposed substantially along a longitudinal direction of the sealed enclosure.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 1990Date of Patent: July 28, 1992Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Hiroshi Suzuyama, Minoru Sakaguchi, Osamu Mikami, Yoshirou Suzuki

Patent number: 4888458Abstract: An apparatus for operating switches including a driving shaft having an operation lever portion supporting one end of a spring mechanism, with the driving shaft being separated from an operation shaft associated with a switch. A driving lever fixed to the driving shaft is connected to a main lever with a recess fixed to the operation shaft. An angle formed by central axes of these levers is set to an angle slightly exceeding 90.degree. when a switch opening or closing operation is completed. Members for regulating the opening and closing positions of the switch are provided at positions opposed to the driving lever. By setting the angle to the above value, in a side where the angle exceeds 90.degree., an operating force transmitted from the driving lever to the main lever acts in a direction opposite to a direction to which the operating force acts until the angle reaches 90.degree., thus cancelling operating inertia energy and residual energy in the driving lever.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 1988Date of Patent: December 19, 1989Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Hiroshi Suzuyama, Minoru Sakaguchi, Osamu Mikami
