  • Patent number: 7535153
Abstract: The piezoelectric actuator drive control device has a controller, and executes an initialization process including an optimum phase difference acquisition process P1 and a phase difference inversion detection process P4 at a predetermined frequency. As a result, the optimum phase difference is updated each time the optimum phase difference acquisition process P1 runs to account for wear or temperature change from continuous operation. Furthermore, even if the phase difference between the drive signal and detection signal inverts during a drive frequency sweep due to variation in the vibration characteristic of the piezoelectric actuator, the phase difference inversion frequency and clamping frequency are reset each time the phase difference inversion detection process P4 is executed, thus preventing phase difference feedback control errors.

  • Publication number: 20070268213
Abstract: A PDP apparatus has a plurality of address driving modules (ADMs) connecting a PDP, a chassis, PDP address electrodes with an address driving circuit of the chassis side. The ADM has a flexible substrate on which wiring and a driver IC are mounted and an address substrate formed by a metal plate for holding/fixing the flexible substrate. With respect to a bracket of an attachment part of the chassis, the two adjacent ADMs are positioned by positioning pins and elongated holes at both ends of the address substrates, and attached and held/fixed by common fastening using a female screw portion, chipped portions, and a screw part. Reduction in the number of required parts and work man-hours, stable holding/fixing, etc. are realized in a driver module of a PDP apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20070159507
Abstract: A piezoelectric actuator drive control method, piezoelectric actuator drive control device, and electronic device greatly reduce power consumption. The piezoelectric actuator drive control device stores as a speed setting the minimum speed at which a rotor (driven body) turns when driven by the minimum torque required to turn the rotor (S10), and to achieve this speed setting limits the pulse width of the drive signal relative to the reference pulse width of a reference signal (S20). By limiting pulse width to the minimum pulse width required to drive the rotor, the pulse duty of the drive signal in a rectangular wave drive pulse train can be reduced and power consumption can be reduced greatly compared with a drive signal having a 100% pulse duty when the pulse width is not limited. Battery life can therefore be increased.

  • Publication number: 20070040871
Abstract: A piezoelectric actuator drive control device, electronic device, and piezoelectric actuator drive control method simplify the arrangement of the control circuitry, and enable easily controlling driving a driven body and piezoelectric actuator current. A PWM signal source outputs a variable pulse width control pulse signal B to change the ratio between the periods t-n and t-w when pulse width Nr and pulse width Wd are selected as the pulse width of the drive pulse signal I. This enables the drive control device to freely control the rotor speed and to freely control current flow to the piezoelectric actuator. This arrangement simplifies drive control and eliminates the difficulty of limiting the pulse width and frequency that occurs when directly controlling the drive signal pulse width and frequency.

  • Patent number: 6070139
Abstract: Bifurcated speaker specific and non-speaker specific method and apparatus is provided for enabling speech-based remote control and for recognizing the speech of an unspecified speaker at extremely high recognition rates regardless of the speaker's age, sex, or individual speech mannerisms. A device main unit is provided with a speech recognition processor for recognizing speech and taking an appropriate action, and with a user terminal containing specific speaker capture and/or preprocessing capabilities. The user terminal exchanges data with the speech recognition processor using radio transmission. The user terminal may be provided with a conversion rule generator that compares the speech of a user with previously compiled standard speech feature data and, based on this comparison result, generates a conversion rule for converting the speaker's speech feature parameters to corresponding standard speaker's feature information.
