Abstract: The system for securing equipment includes a locking device attached to equipment to be secured, a plurality of fasteners, and an anchoring device. The locking device can be a U-bolt with threaded ends to attach to a backflow valve of a sprinkler system or locking bolts attached to a park bench or barbecue grill. Each fastener has a first surface with a first threaded hole in alignment with the locking device and a second surface orthogonal to the first surface with a second threaded hole aligned with anchoring device. The anchoring device can be a flat bar fixedly attached to the fasteners at one connector end and permanently mounted in place at an anchoring end. Each fastener has an L-shape, so that a first surface engages the locking device and opposing second surfaces engage the anchoring device. A concrete plug for outdoor use holds the anchoring end in place for permanency.

Abstract: A method for improving the network resources allocation in a TISPAN network, when a network user requests at least one communication service between an access node of the TISPAN network and a destination node, the TISPAN network using MPLS packet based transport technologies and GMPLS circuit switched based transport technologies. The proposed invention defines a communication procedure between TISPAN service layer architectures and multilayer GMPLS network architectures WSON). It aims to minimize total network resources consumption of increasing traffic demands with different requirements in terms of bandwidth and QoS.

Abstract: A device and method of use for protection of the facial area including but not limited to the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears through the use of airflow to create a protective barrier for this area is disclosed. In one embodiment, the device for providing protection of the facial area through the use of airflow to create a protective barrier for this area is comprised of an air delivery member, a frame member, and an air nozzle member. In another embodiment, the device is also comprised of an air supply member. In another embodiment, the device is also comprised of a control member. In yet another embodiment, the air nozzle member is comprised of one or more air nozzles that may be of varying nozzle shapes to control the air barrier produced. The air nozzle member may also be positioned in various directions and the exit velocity of the air leaving the nozzle controlled via the control member. Lastly, in another embodiment the device may also be comprised of a lens member.

Abstract: A multilayer communications network system for distributing multicast services and a method for such a distribution The system comprises a switched optical transport network layer, such as a WSON, and an electronic packet switched network layer, such as a IP/MPLS, where the switched optical transport network layer transports multicast flows services and the electronic packet switched network layer is a backup layer of a dynamic restoration mechanism for recovery against one or more failures occurring in the switched optical transport network layer. The method comprises transporting multicast flows services through the switched optical transport network layer, and performing a recovery against one or more failures occurring in the switched optical transport network layer by means of a dynamic restoring carried out by using said electronic packet switched network layer as a backup layer.

Abstract: The procedure comprises using a pre-planned path restoration scheme for computing in advance, or pre-calculating, recovery paths for recovering failed working paths, and particularly comprises pre-calculating a set of recovery paths for each working path linking an origin node with a destination node, and simultaneously using the recovery paths of the set of recovery paths to try to communicate the origin node with the destination node, in case of one or more failures have been produced in the working path. The system is arranged for pre-calculating a set of recovery paths for each working path and simultaneously using them to recover a working path failure, and is apt for implementing the procedure.

The transmitter module comprises an Ethernet switch, three DPSK modulators and a DWDM optical multiplexer. The receiver module comprises an Ethernet switch, three DPSK demodulators and a DWDM optical demultiplexer. In a novel manner, both modules combine 2 Gbps digital transmission, RZ-DPSK modulation and optical multicasting over a wavelength-switched optical network, WSON.
