  • Publication number: 20190032752
Abstract: The bungee fastener has a tapered chute that accepts a locking slider. A channel forms an opening in a side of the body thereby allowing passage of the slider through the channel. A plurality of slider teeth along a portion of the slider within the tapered chute may lock onto a bungee when the slider is slid into a locked position. The slider moves along the channel, thereby selectively narrowing the tapered chute with the slider teeth as the slider is slid into the locked position and enlarging the tapered chute as the slider is slid into the unlocked position. The bungee fastener may include a single slider or a plurality of sliders.

  • Publication number: 20180328076
Abstract: A latch assembly is provided where the latch is moveable to open and close a door by operation of a dead lock assembly that blocks or unblocks movement of a bolt. In a blocked state, a blocking cartridge of the dead lock assembly is prevented from inward movement, blocking inward movement of the bolt. Turning a door knob or door handle causes a spindle extending through the dead lock assembly to move locking bars of the dead locking assembly, the locking bars moving further apart to permit the blocking cartridge to slide there between and move inwardly into the latch housing. The bolt can now move inward by force of the door jamb upon the bolt in order to clear the door jamb when opening and closing the door.

  • Publication number: 20180071755
Abstract: A showerhead engine internally swirls water within a swirling chamber. Multiple swirling chambers may be used, each separated from one another. The water is swirled with angled through holes in a mid plate. As the water passes through the angled holes it is projected out at an angle. The water then contacts the swirling chamber wall and continues to follow the curvature of the wall. The curved wall paired with the angled entry causes the water to continue to swirl within the swirling chamber. The water is released out of the swirling chamber through slots, which allow the water to retain the angular velocity at a discharge angle.

  • Publication number: 20180073271
Abstract: A door locking mechanism is contained within a cartridge for use with a tubular style door lock. The cartridge activates and deactivates the door lock with a manual depression of a push button. Depressing the push button causes a cam to rotate thus converting the axial motion of the push button into a rotary motion thereby activating the door lock. Once locked, both the interior and exterior door knobs may not be rotated. In order to unlock the door, the push button is depressed a second time thereby rotating the cam in an opposing direction and deactivating the door lock.

  • Publication number: 20170202951
Abstract: The present invention is directed to novel immunogenic compositions that protect swine from disease caused by porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV). The present invention is also directed to novel immunogenic compositions that protect swine from disease caused by porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV), alone or as combination vaccine to protect against PEDV. The compositions of the invention provide killed viruses whose effectiveness is enhanced by the selection of preferred adjuvants. Novel culture methods are also employed to increase reproducible yield of cultured viruses. Live vaccines are also provided from the Calaf14 PEDV isolate.

  • Publication number: 20170044799
Abstract: A deadbolt assembly with a latch assembly and a lock cylinder. The deadbolt assembly includes a first torque blade longitudinally extending along a first axis and a second torque blade longitudinally extending along a second axis. The second torque blade is operatively coupled with the latch assembly to actuate the bolt between the retracted position and the extended position. The deadbolt assembly includes a geared arrangement operatively coupling the first torque blade and the second torque blade. The geared arrangement is configured to apply rotational movement of the first torque blade to the second torque blade.

  • Patent number: 9340999
Abstract: A manually driven electronic deadbolt assembly configured with an electromechanical coupling mechanism to selectively couple a manually operable bezel to a torque blade for operation of a deadbolt mechanism. The electro-mechanical coupling mechanism is configured such that in a locked condition the manually operable bezel is drivably decoupled from the torque blade, such that the manually operable bezel is free-spinning when rotated so as to be rendered incapable of rotating the torque blade to operate the deadbolt mechanism. Also, the electro-mechanical coupling mechanism is configured to drivably couple the manually operable bezel to the torque blade when a valid code is input to a code input mechanism to facilitate the unlocked condition, such that a rotation of the manually operable bezel effects a rotation of the torque blade to operate the deadbolt mechanism.

  • Patent number: 9127479
Abstract: A rekeyable lock cylinder includes a cylinder body and a plug assembly, which includes key followers normally biased for linear movement into a home position. Locking bar interfaces in the plug assembly are rotatably connected to respective key followers for simultaneous linear movement with the key followers, and are movable from a non-rotatable to a rotatable position within the plug assembly. Each interface defines a plurality of angularly-spaced unlocking cavities alignable with a locking bar operatively associated with the cylinder body and plug assembly. When the user causes the interface to move into the rotatable position, it can be rotated to re-align any or all of the unlocking cavities with the locking bar. Inasmuch as each unlocking cavity is also associated with a particular elevation of the interface's respective key follower, re-aligning one or more such cavities resets the respective elevations of the key followers so that they can accept only a different valid key.

  • Patent number: 9051761
Abstract: An exterior actuator assembly for a manually driven electronic deadbolt assembly includes a torque blade driver having a perimetrical lock recess, and is rotatable about a first rotational axis. A clutch assembly is drivably interposed between an exterior turnpiece and the torque blade driver. A motor shaft is arranged to rotate about a second rotational axis that is non-coaxial with the first rotational axis. A locking shifter is configured for axial translation along the second rotational axis. The locking shifter has a blocking tab portion configured for selective engagement with the perimetrical lock recess of the torque blade driver. A rotational-to-linear motion converter is drivably interposed between the motor shaft and the locking shifter and is configured such that a rotation of the motor shaft results in an axial displacement of the locking shifter to one of a locked position and an unlocked position.

  • Patent number: 8201307
Abstract: A door handle assembly providing an entry function includes a sleeve, a spindle and a handle that fits over the sleeve. Gap and play between the handle and the sleeve is eliminated by tightening of a threaded fastener against an inner surface of the handle. A tool is selectively received through an opening in the spindle for tightening the threaded fastener. The opening in the spindle is alignable with an aperture in the handle when in an unlocked condition. The tool is then permitted to extend through the aperture and the opening in the spindle to engage the threaded fastener. A second end of the threaded fastener abuts the inner surface of the handle, securing the handle to the sleeve. Another door handle assembly according to this invention provides a privacy function and includes a threaded fastener that contacts an inner surface of a door handle assembly.
