  • Patent number: 9310210
Abstract: An assessment module for assessing data from a digital map for a vehicle. The assessment is made on the basis of a piece of dedicated map quality information and measurement data from an ambient sensor system in the vehicle. The connected driver assistance systems and safety systems in the vehicle use the digital map data on the basis of the assessment.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 28, 2008
Date of Patent: April 12, 2016
Assignee: Continental Teves AG & Co. oHG
Inventors: Ulrich Stählin, Otmar Schreiner, Andreas Kircher, Enno Kelling, Matthias Schorn
  • Patent number: 8686848
Abstract: An electric motor vehicle with an electric drive motor, an accumulator for storing electrical energy, an optical display device having a plurality of individually actuable lighting segments, and a display control device. To acquire important vehicle information easily and reliably by the display device, the lighting segments are arranged in such a way that they form an at least two-dimensional lighting segment field and irradiate light upward in the vertical direction. The display control device actuates the lighting segments of the lighting segment field such that the lighting segment field outputs a nondigital accumulator charge state information item and/or a nondigital vehicle operating state information item.

Date of Patent: April 1, 2014
    Assignee: Continental Automotive GmbH
Inventors: Holmer-Geert Grundmann, Hannes Lüttringhaus, Otmar Schreiner
  • Patent number: 8645025
Abstract: A system and method for stabilizing a motor vehicle. The system includes a speed sensor for sensing a longitudinal speed and a transversal speed of the motor vehicle. The system also includes a calculation unit designed to calculate an attitude angle of the motor vehicle from the longitudinal speed and the transversal speed. The system also includes an evaluation unit designed to compare the attitude angle with a threshold value and to detect an oversteering situation if the attitude angle exceeds the threshold value. The system also includes an actuation unit which influences the driving behavior of the motor vehicle. The actuation unit is designed to actuate an actuator in an oversteering situation.

  • Publication number: 20120143454
Abstract: A system for stabilizing a motor vehicle including at least one speed sensor for sensing a longitudinal speed and a transversal speed of the motor vehicle; a calculation unit which is designed to calculate an attitude angle of the motor vehicle from the sensed vehicle longitudinal speed and the sensed vehicle transversal speed; an evaluation unit which is coupled to the calculation unit and is designed to compare the attitude angle with a predefined threshold value and to detect an oversteering situation if the attitude angle exceeds the threshold value; an actuation unit which is coupled to the evaluation unit, and an actuator which influences the driving behavior of the motor vehicle, wherein the actuation unit is designed to actuate the actuator in an oversteering situation. In addition, a method which the system is suitable for carrying out is disclosed.
