  • Patent number: 5155754
Abstract: A high-frequency supply for use with an x-ray tube having a central metallic tap includes two inverse rectifiers each having a high-voltage transformers, forming two series-connected high-voltage rectifiers. The tap of the x-ray tube is electrically connected between the two high-voltage rectifiers. Each inverse rectifier has a capacitor associated therewith, with the inverse rectifier connected at the cathode side of the x-ray tube having a capacitor with a higher capacitance than the inverse rectifier connected at the anode side of the x-ray tube. Current flowing in the line connected to the tap between the two high-voltage rectifiers is thus compensated, so that a shift in the center of the high-voltage is avoided.

  • Patent number: 4295049
Abstract: In an exemplary embodiment a direct-current supply with adjustable d.c. voltage supplies an inverter which in turn drives the high-tension transformer. High-tension capacitors are connected at the output of the high-tension rectifier, and control loops are provided for the x-ray tube voltage and the x-ray tube current. The controlled variable is the inverter frequency in the control loop for the x-ray tube voltage. There is a program storage in which an optimum d.c. voltage for the inverter input is programmed for each pair of settings of x-ray tube voltage and current. There can be a function generator present which before the start of the radiograph supplies a control signal corresponding to an inverter input voltage lying a predetermined amount above the respective programmed value. The inverter input voltage may be regulated by a feedback control loop, and the set point value from program storage may be temporarily increased by the function generator at the start of a radiograph.

  • Patent number: 4184075
Abstract: An inverter for an x-ray diagnostic generator wherein the power rectifier is a three phase rectifier across the output of which are connected two smoothing capacitors in series, the connection point therebetween having the common supply conductor connected therewith. There is disposed in parallel with the smoothing capacitors a series circuit comprising a thyristor, two inductances, and an additional thyristor. One diode is connected in antiparallel fashion with each of the thyristors, and the connection points of the inductances and of the smoothing capacitors are connected with one another by an oscillatory capacitor. The output voltage is tapped at the oscillatory capacitor. Either single phase or three phase power may be supplied directly to the rectifier without the use of an input transformer.
