  • Publication number: 20030089209
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting paper webs includes a paper feeding means (102), a cutting means (108) and a paper delay means (106) which is arranged between the paper feeding means (102) and the cutting means (108) and delays the paper web (112), which is being fed, in such a manner that a position where the cutting means (108) cuts the paper web (112) is determined on the paper web (112). A buffer means (104) is arranged between the paper feeding means (102) and the paper delay means (106) so as to receive an accumulating length of the paper web (112) in the form of a loop during the delay of the paper web (112). A control means (190) controls the paper feeding means (102) and the paper delay means (106) in such a manner that the loop (195) received in the buffer means (104) does not fall short of a minimum height (h).

  • Patent number: 6423722
Abstract: 33-Epichloro-33-desoxyascomycin of formula I and various tautomeric or forms thereof, in crystalline form, such as Form A and Form B. Their preparation involves appropriately converting amorphous compound of formula I, or compound of formula I in other than Form A, or compound of formula I in other than Form B, respectively, from a solution thereof under crystallization-inducing conditions or conditions inducing preferential crystallization of Form A or B, respectively. Such crystals are particularly indicated for use in the preparation of topical galenical forms of the compound for pharmaceutical use, e.g. creams, emulsions and ointments.

  • Patent number: 6418825
Abstract: A device for cutting a paper web in a transverse direction includes a first continuously driven conveyor for moving the paper web through the device, a loop forming station, a cutting device, a clamping device for temporarily retaining the paper web, and a second conveyor for moving the paper web further after it is stored. The second conveyor includes a continuously driven transport roller and pressure rollers that are intermittently pressed onto the transport roller. The clamping device and the lifting device are driven in step with the cutting device so that the paper web is retained by the clamping device and the pressure rollers are lifted from the transport roller while the paper web is cut. The lifting device controls and lifts the pressure rollers of the second conveyor from the transport roller shortly before the paper web is stretched when the loop is undone.

  • Patent number: 4129404
Abstract: An arrangement of an air compressor which includes at least one piston connected with a crankshaft, at a piston internal combustion engine, particularly at a truck engine, in which the crankshaft of the air compressor is supported in the control housing adjoining the output side of the engine whereby the air compressor cylinder or cylinders are mounted on the control housing.

  • Patent number: 4017398
Abstract: Apparatus for continuous separation of solid-fluid mixtures comprising means for routing an endless band of filter cloth folded to form an endless tube which is longitudinally openable and closable to permit introduction of a mixture into the tube for filtering, and removal of solids following filtering. Means for introducing a mixture into the tube are followed by a filter unit which is adjustable in cross sectional flow area. The inlet means and filter unit are assembled on a first frame. A second frame outfitted with means for opening the tube for discharge of solids follows. The two frames are separable to provide a modular construction. Press units, also of modular construction, can be interposed between said frames, also as modules, and means are provided for adjusting the pressure exerted by the press units.
