The elevator cable duct has props and supports arranged thereon which extend in the longitudinal direction of the cable duct as well as plastic troughs which can be aligned next to each other, thereby forming a cable duct. The troughs have recesses on the outside which can be reversed-drawn above the support, where the troughs can be locked in positive fit or by frictional engagement. The recesses are deep enough to enable the support to lie inside the sleeve of the troughs when the troughs are mounted. The support is insulated from the outside by aprons.
