  • Patent number: 5336126
Abstract: An apparatus for obtaining nutritive substances by extraction from bones and meat adhering thereon has a receptacle (2) for receiving bones and an extracting liquid, preferably water. In the receptacle at least one stirring element (7) is provided and the receptacle (2) is tiltable with a horizontal shaft (3) so that is content can be discharged onto a coarse sieve (15) positioned within a trough (14) for separating the bones and the coarse components from the liquid and the fine components. Below the coarse sieve (15) is a gutter which leads to a rotating sieve (23) the sieve openings of which are smaller than those of the coarse sieve (15). At least one stripper engages the rotating sieve (23) and below the rotating sieve (23) there is a collecting container (30) for the liquid, a discharge conduit (34) extending from this container. This results in a space-consuming construction and permits a fractional separation of the useful components of the bones and the meat adhering thereto.

  • Patent number: 5114379
Abstract: An apparatus for treating meat has several rollers (11 to 14) in a frame (1), which rollers are provided on their surfaces with projections (25), the meat being conveyed from up to down through the gap between each two opposite rollers. Thereby the meat is cut or pressed on its surface. The rollers of each roller pair are driven in opposite directions and transport the meat therebetween (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 4575899
Abstract: A device for severing the meat adhering to bones from these bones has a press cavity provided with a press piston and a counter-piston, the mass of meat and bones introduced into the press cavity being pressed between said both pistons. Passage openings formed of a perforated filter are provided in the wall of the press cavity, noting that the meat having been brought into the pasty condition by the press pressure can pass through this openings, whereas the bones are retained. Both pistons have cylindrical sections and can be shifted in axial direction of the press cavity within this press cavity. The dimensions of the pistons are, as seen in radial direction, smaller than that of the press cavity. Both pistons have blunt, preferably slightly bomb-shaped front surfaces. One of the pistons releases during its retracting movement a discharge opening for discharging the pressed bones out of the press cavity.

  • Patent number: 4538324
Abstract: An apparatus for severing the meat adhering on bones from these bones, in particular for poultry parts such as carcasses of chickens or turkeys, has a press comprising a press cavity into which the mass of meat and bones is introduced between a press piston and a counter-piston. The wall of the press cavity is, at least within the area of the counter-piston, formed of a perforated filter. The counter-piston has a closing section for a discharge opening for discharging the pressed bones from the press cavity and said closing section has a greater diameter than is the diameter of the press cavity and said counter-piston having a filter section equally formed of a perforated filter and having a smaller diameter than is the diameter of the press cavity.

  • Patent number: 4535504
Abstract: A device for severing the meat adhering to bones by compressing the bones having meat adhering thereto has a press cavity having an upright axis, a filling cavity arranged above the press cavity and an abutment arranged beside this filling cavity. The press cavity has a side wall provided with openings through which the pressed, paste-like meat can pass, while the bones cannot. The abutment and the filling cavity can be moved together transversely to the direction of the axis of the press cavity, so that the mass of meat and bones to be compressed can fall from the filling cavity into the press cavity, when the filling cavity is brought into a position in which it aligns with the press cavity. When the press cavity is tightly closed by the abutment, the mass of meat and bones can be pressed by a piston.

  • Patent number: 4520718
Abstract: An equipment for massaging meat has a frame which is provided with a supporting member for a container, being separable from the frame, for the meat to be massaged. The container is axially symmetric, preferably cylindrical, in shape and has at its one front end a bottom provided with a chassis and at its other front end a charging opening which can be closed by a cover. The container is introduced into the supporting member in upright position which is then tilted by means of a tilting device around a horizontal tilting axis normally extending to the container axis until the container assumes a lying position. The supporting member is provided with bearing pulleys for the container on which the container rests in its lying position. At least one bearing pulley can be driven, so that the container can be rotated in its lying position, whereby the meat contained within the container is massaged.

  • Patent number: 4286510
Abstract: The invention refers to a machine for injecting a treating liquid, particularly brine, into an edible material, particularly meat. The machine comprises a frame in which a conveyor for the material to be treated is positioned which moves the material in horizontal direction so that the material is transported below at least two injection needle sets subsequently. Each injection needle set is resiliently mounted in a needle case which is fixed to an injection frame guided in the machine frame for upward and downward reciprocal movement. To each one of the needle sets a separate treating liquid supply system is associated which comprises a storage tank for the treating liquid, a treating liquid conduit leading from the storage tank to the injection needles and a pump for the treating liquid.
