    Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus are disclosed for user equipment and network nodes. An example method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes the UE detecting a failure relating to a connection between the UE and a Master Cell Group (MCG). The UE provides, to a master node via a Secondary Cell Group, SCG, a first message relating to the detected failure. The UE receives, from the master node via the SCG, a second message indicating to the UE to perform a connection reconfiguration. An example method performed by the master node includes the master node receiving, from the UE via the SCG, the first message including information relating to the detected failure of the connection between the UE and the MCG. The master node determines, based on the first message and a user equipment context, to perform a connection reconfiguration. The master node provides, to the UE via the SCG, the second message indicating to perform the connection reconfiguration.

    Abstract: Embodiments includes methods for a centralized unit (CU) in an integrated access backhaul (IAB) network. Such methods include determining a first identifier of a first backhaul radio link control (BH RLC) channel between first and second nodes in the IAB network. The second node is a child node of the first node. Such methods include sending, to the second node, a second request to setup a second BH RLC channel between the second node and a third node in the IAB network. The third node is a child node of the second node, and the second request includes the first identifier for association with the second BH RLC channel. In some embodiments, at least one data radio bearer between a user equipment (UE) and the CU is associated with both the first and second BH RLC channels. Other embodiments include complementary methods for an intermediate node in the IAB network.

The first base station and the second base station serve the UE. A method performed by the second base station is also described whereby the second base station receives the first message. In a method performed by the UE, the UE receives, from the first base station, a configuration message configured to specify the measurements to perform and a measurement gap configuration. The UE then takes the measurements based on the configuration message.

After the connection is suspended, the user equipment receives a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection re-establishment message from a second network node.
