Method includes generating a cryptographic key as a function of the values of parameters of a subset of parameters of the global set of manufacturing parameters, including at least one parameter of a set of design parameters of the manufacturing device, or of a set of parameters relating to the manufacturing method, or of a set of characteristic parameters of the material, detecting a watermark in the model by applying a detection algorithm initialized with the cryptographic key generated, comparing the detected watermark with an expected watermark, and authenticating the manufacture of the part in the event of a positive comparison.
