  • Publication number: 20240098152
Abstract: Versions of a sequencing system may be monitored to enable changing of a version of a server subsystem operating the sequencing system to service requests from client subsystems for performing analysis of sequencing data. A monitor subsystem may be utilized for receiving and authorizing requests from client subsystems. The monitor subsystem may identify a version associated with a server subsystem operating the sequencing system to be implemented for servicing the request. The monitor subsystem may allow the server subsystem to be accessed for servicing the request from the client subsystem when the version associated with the client subsystem is compatible with the version associated with the server subsystem. The monitor subsystem may prevent the server subsystem from being accessed when the version associated with the client subsystem is incompatible with the version associated with the server subsystem.

  • Patent number: 9684478
Abstract: A network-enabled device can operate to permit user access to the depletable resource only if information stored on the device indicates that the replenishment for the depleted resource is being obtained from an appropriate or approved source.

  • Patent number: 6883892
Abstract: A printing component receives media, applies print imaging thereto, and delivers the media to a first location. The apparatus selectively applies at least one calibration mark as the print imaging. An imaging component receives the imaged media at a second location and produces scan data representative thereof. The apparatus selectively analyzes the at least one calibration mark and produces calibration data.

  • Patent number: 6487609
Abstract: A method and system for communicating an event message between at least one client operatively connected to a peripheral device, the peripheral device being adapted to execute an event when selected by a user or a client. The method includes maintaining a table of event descriptors in the peripheral device, selectively adding entries to the table in response to receiving a preselected add event descriptor request from a connected client, selectively deleting entries from the table in response to receiving a preselected delete event descriptor request from a connected client, and the user selecting an entry from said table of event descriptors for executing the selected event.

  • Patent number: 5805174
Abstract: The present invention uses a display list where each swath is segmented into a plurality of zones (or tiles) and each zone is processed as a separate unit. Objects going into the display list are clipped to horizontal and vertical zone boundaries by a parser. The individual zones in the display list are ultimately rasterized by an image processor, and a number of rasterized zones are temporarily stored in bit-mapped buffers. Hence, it is now possible to mix 0, 1, and 3-plane (CMY) zones in a single swath, resulting in faster throughput because fewer pixels are rendered, rotated, copied and erased. The invention also results in lower memory requirements for both the display list memory and the bit-mapped memory.

  • Patent number: 5642474
Abstract: In one embodiment of the invention, the conventional three-step ROP process for filling in arbitrary shapes with a pattern is modified to require less computation and memory. In a preferred embodiment, a printer driver routine installed in the host computer converts the conventional ROP instructions into a modified set of instructions which are then transmitted and processed by the printer. A masking buffer in the printer supports the process. The improved method only requires the fill pattern to be transmitted once to the printer instead of twice, resulting in memory savings of up to 50% and speeding up the print time significantly. In contrast to the three-step ROP process, the first step (ROP 90) of XORing the fill pattern with the destination area is deleted. The arbitrary shapes for being filled are transmitted to the printer, and these shapes are stored in a temporary masking buffer.
