  • Patent number: 11736399
Abstract: A network device may forward fragments of an IPv4 network packet encapsulated in IPv6 network packets from an IPv6 network to an IPv4 network without reassembling the IPv4 network packet. The network device may receive and buffer the one or more fragments of a fragment flow associated with the IPv4 network packet until it receives a fragment of the fragment flow that includes an indication of the source port of the IPv4 network packet. When the network device receives the fragment that includes the indication of the source port of the IPv4 network packet, the network device may dispatch each fragment of the fragment flow that it has received to the IPv4 network.

The network device may receive and buffer one or more fragments of a fragment flow associated with the IPv4 network packet until it receives a fragment of the fragment flow that includes an indication of the destination port of the IPv4 network packet. When the network device receives the fragment that includes the indication of the destination port of the IPv4 network packet, the network device may encapsulate each fragment of the fragment flow that it has received into respective IPv6 network packets to the IPv6 network.

  • Publication number: 20100250608
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing application services to multiple tenants are provided. A data model is received from a new tenant. A database specific to the new tenant is created and stored in memory. The database may include one or more metadata tables. Other databases, each associated with another tenant, may also be stored in memory. The data model received from the new tenant may be stored in the created database that is specific to the new tenant. An application service may be provided to the new tenant based on the data model received from the new tenant and stored in the created database. In some embodiments, the data structures may be maintained in memory in a hierarchical manner. The hierarchy of the information resources may further correspond to a hierarchy of tenants. A library, for example, may be organized and shared in a hierarchical manner, in which a hierarchy of library resources may be shared among a defined group of tenants and/or subtenants.

  • Patent number: 6944183
Abstract: A unified policy management system for an organization including a central policy server and remotely situated policy enforcers. A central database and policy enforcer databases storing policy settings are configured as LDAP databases adhering to a hierarchical object oriented structure. Such structure allows the policy settings to be defined in an intuitive and extensible fashion. Changes in the policy settings made at the central policy server are automatically transferred to the policy enforcers for updating their respective databases. Each policy enforcer collects and transmits health and status information in a predefined log format and transmits it to the policy server for efficient monitoring by the policy server. For further efficiencies, the policy enforcement functionalities of the policy enforcers are effectively partitioned so as to be readily implemented in hardware.
