    Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for diagnosing a physical downlink failure so as to solve the problem in the existing technology of being unable to report information accurately when the physical downlink failure occurs thereby influencing the diagnosis of the physical downlink failure. The method comprises: when a remote device detects the physical downlink failure, determining a code corresponding to information required to be reported based on a stored corresponding relationship between the information and the code; the remote device generating a control signal from the determined code based on an appointed frequency clock; and the remote device reporting a signal corresponding to the control signal to a near-end device through a physical uplink such that the near-end device diagnoses the physical downlink failure according to the reported signal.

The disclosure further discloses an alarm report system and device for cascaded equipments. The disclosure can effectively lower the alarm information processing complexity of an REC and the correlation of alarms.

The method comprises: a CPRI link data transmitting end forming data to be transmitted into frames, outputting data, and calculating to obtain FCS of each frame; the CPRI link data transmitting end adds FCS of a former frame into FCS field of a current frame when forming frame; a CPRI link data receiving end splitting frame of received frame data to obtain FCS of the former frame carried in the current frame, calculating received frame data to obtain FCS of the current frame, caching FCS of the current frame, comparing FCS of the former frame which is carried in the current frame with cached FCS of the former frame, and judging CPRI link has error codes if the comparison result is inconsistent. Error code condition of CPRI link can be monitored without influencing normal service operation.
