  • Patent number: 8823237
Abstract: An electric machine includes a stator having a magnetic core crossed longitudinally by a stator slot and stator winding having a phase and series of rigid, U-shaped bars inserted through the slot. The slot defines “entry” and “exit” sides in which cusps and legs of the bars are placed. The legs coming out the “exit” side are twisted through relative double folds each of which defines internal and external folds in opposite directions. Ends of the legs are electrically connected to each other to form electrical paths of the winding. A width of the cusps is identical for the bars. The ends of a pair in a part of the winding are initially not adjacent to each other and folded toward each other to be arranged parallel to each other in a circumferential direction so that the ends touch each other to allow an electrical connection between the ends.

  • Patent number: 8265814
Abstract: A control method and unit of an electric traction motorcycle; there are provided: an accelerator grip pivotally mounted to rotate in a first rotation direction and about a rotation axis from a neutral position towards a maximum acceleration position; an elastic member which tends to keep the accelerator grip in the neutral position; at least one position sensor for detecting the angular position of the accelerator grip about the rotation axis; and a control device which drives an electric machine of the motorcycle according to the angular position of the accelerator grip; the accelerator grip is mounted to rotate in a second rotation direction opposite to the first rotation direction and about the rotation axis from the neutral position towards a deceleration position which is arranged in the direction opposite to the maximum acceleration position with respect to the neutral position.

  • Patent number: 8261537
Abstract: A mounting device for an injector in an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine; the mounting device is provided with a tubular support body, which is made of a thermally conductive material, houses the injector therein, and is adapted to be coupled to a connection tube laterally extending outwards from an exhaust conduit of the exhaust system at a lower end thereof; an upper portion of the support body is thermally coupled to an upper portion of a nose of the injector so that a high thermal exchange occurs by conduction between the upper portion of the nose of the injector and the upper portion of the support body; and a lower portion of the support body is thermally insulated from a lower portion of the nose of the injector so that a reduced thermal exchange occurs by conduction between the upper portion of the nose of the injector and the upper portion of the support body.

  • Patent number: 8222784
Abstract: An electric machine provided with: a stator, equipped with a single stator winding; at least two shafts, which are independent of one another and are mounted so that they can turn; at least two rotors, which are independent of one another, are magnetically coupled to the stator, and are mounted on the shafts; and a single electronic power converter, which is connected to the stator winding for supplying the stator winding itself with a total electric current.
