  • Publication number: 20240142152
Abstract: An ice maker for forming ice having a refrigeration system, a water system, and a control system. The refrigeration system includes a compressor, a condenser, and an evaporator. The water system includes a water filter and a sump to hold water to be made into ice. The control system includes a controller adapted to determine a baseline freeze time, a baseline harvest time, and/or a baseline fill time after an initial set of ice making cycles and is further adapted to compare subsequent harvest times, freeze times, and/or fill times to the baseline freeze, harvest, and/or fill times to determine whether the ice maker needs maintenance. If controller determines that ice maker needs maintenance, controller can push a notification to a portable electronic device connected to the ice maker.

  • Patent number: 11137427
Abstract: A method for verifying the wiring of an electrical energy meter, the meter comprising an upstream phase terminal, a downstream phase terminal and a cut-off member mounted between the upstream phase terminal and the downstream phase terminal, the verification method comprising the steps of: opening the cut-off member; measuring an upstream phase voltage upstream from the cut-off member and a downstream phase voltage downstream from the cut-off member; detecting, particularly according to a measurement of the upstream phase voltage and a measurement of the downstream phase voltage, a possible wiring error; if a wiring error is detected, generating and alert; if no wiring error is detected, closing the cut-off member and putting the meter in a nominal operating mode.

  • Patent number: 10982893
Abstract: An automatic descale and sanitize process for an ice maker which requires less user intervention and time. During descaling, a main water reservoir of an ice maker sump is filled with water to a descale water level and mixes with a cleaner placed in the main water reservoir. The water/cleaner mixture is pumped through the ice maker to descale the water system and freeze plate. During sanitizing, the sump is filled with water to a sanitize water level, above the descale water level, and mixes with sanitizer placed in a sanitizer reservoir of the sump. The water/sanitizer mixture is pumped through the ice maker to sanitize the water system and freeze plate. During descaling, the sanitizer placed in the sanitizer reservoir does not come into contact with the water in the main water reservoir. After the descale and sanitize process, the ice maker can return to making ice.

  • Patent number: 10527458
Abstract: A device for counting turns of a rotating member (8) rotating about an axis with respect to a housing (100), comprising a wheel (6) made from non-metal material rotatably connected to the rotating member and provided locally with at least one eccentric metal mass (7) leaving a part of the wheel uncovered, at least two coils (1, 2) that are separated from each other and fixedly mounted with respect to the housing facing a portion of the trajectory of the metal mass in such a way that at least all of the coils except one are always responsive to said metal mass and that each belong to an inductive circuit (10.1, 10.2) electrically connected to a counting unit (5). A counter incorporating such a device.

  • Patent number: 10505666
Abstract: A method for configuring communication parameters for a first gateway of a LoRa network, designated by a server of said network to relay a response to a request, containing data, received by the server, the data originating from a terminal of said network, the response being transmitted by the server and intended for the terminal. The method comprises, when it is implemented by the first gateway: acquiring communication parameters; and, configuring the first gateway so as to transmit the response to the terminal using said parameters; said parameters being acquired by a determination procedure determining (52, 53, 54), when a distance between the first gateway and a second gateway is shorter than a threshold, communication parameters that make it possible to ensure reliable transmission from the first gateway to the terminal and to minimize disturbance, by said transmission, of communications from the second gateway.

  • Patent number: 6363351
Abstract: A system grants authorized subscribers access to selected ones of entertainment events at various entertainment venues. The system preferably comprises a central processing station and plurality of access point controllers. The central processing station preferably permits registering of subscribers that can be authorized to attend selected entertainment events. The central processing station also generates and stores a record relating to authorization of a subscriber to attend a selected entertainment event. Each of the access point controllers preferably reads a subscriber identifier presented by the subscriber attending the respective entertainment event, and confirms that the subscriber attending the respective entertainment event has been authorized based upon the subscriber identifier. This system permits subscribers to prearrange for attendance at a selected event and/or venue, and does not suffer from the drawbacks of conventional paper tickets.
