Publication number: 20240094297Abstract: A state of battery testing system is disclosed which includes a charger, a load to be coupled across the battery's positive and negative terminals, a processer adapted to apply a predetermined voltage pulse across the battery's positive and negative terminals, apply the load to the battery, measure and log current through the load as Iexp, and establish a model based on establishing an initial estimation of state of the battery (?0), and establishing a modeled state of battery (?i) based on a plurality of internal parameters of the battery. The model is adapted to output a model current through the load, inputting ?0 and the plurality of internal parameters of the model to thereby generate Imodel, generate an objective function (f) based on a comparison of Imodel and Iexp, and iteratively optimize ?i, and output ?optimal based on the iterations.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 23, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Applicant: Purdue Research FoundationInventors: Venkatesh Kabra, Partha Mukherjee, James Cole, Paul Northrop, Conner Fear

Publication number: 20210285043Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses, including computer programs, for performing incremental secondary analysis of nucleic acid sequence reads. The method can include (i) obtaining first data describing a plurality of first reads generated by a nucleic acid sequencing device during a first read interval, (ii) obtaining second data describing a plurality of second reads generated by the nucleic acid sequencing device during a second read interval that is performed after the first read interval, wherein while the second data is being obtained: (a) providing, by the nucleic acid sequencing device, the first data as an input to a mapping and alignment unit, (b) receiving, from the mapping and alignment unit, alignment results, and (c) storing the received alignment results, and, thereafter (iii) instructing the mapping and alignment unit to begin alignment of the second data representing the second plurality of reads to the reference sequence.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2021Publication date: September 16, 2021Inventors: Michael J. Publication number: 20160048815Abstract: A method for providing on-line payment services is provided where a payment service provider pays for a plurality of purchases that are made by a user during a plurality of on-line shopping sessions. An authorization is received for the payment service provider to collect a reimbursement amount from a financial institution of the user. The reimbursement amount is at least equal to a cumulative amount of the payments for the plurality of purchases made by the user during the plurality of on-line shopping sessions. The payment service provider collects the reimbursement amount in a single transaction from the financial institution of the user and pays a fee to the financial institution of the user. The fee is based on the single transaction carried out to collect the reimbursement amount rather than being applied to each of the plurality of purchases or assessed as a percentage of the reimbursement amount, which allows the payment service provider to reduce the costs associated with providing payment services.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2015Publication date: February 18, 2016Inventor: Partha Mukherjee
