  • Publication number: 20230399720
Abstract: The present invention relates to the recovery and purification of lithium from lithium containing sources, like lithium ion battery materials, using ion exchange. A lithium salt containing solution is passed through an acid cation exchange resin, and a lithium raffinate and a mixture of other elements such as metals like nickel, cobalt and manganese, are recovered as products. The lithium raffinate can then be processed into other lithium products such as lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide.

  • Publication number: 20210344059
Abstract: The present invention relates to separation and recovery of metals from ground alkaline batteries using anode mud (zinc electrolysis waste) and other manganese and zinc containing materials. The material commonly referred to as alkaline black (AKB) is solubilized into sulfate media and the manganese to zinc ratio is adjusted. The solution containing metals is processed using crystallization and ion exchange methods to produce manganese sulfate and zinc sulfate solutions for several possible applications.

  • Publication number: 20050234307
Abstract: A system for handling a physiological event includes a monitoring device adapted to detect, sense, measure, simulate, intervent, or control one or more physiological parameters. The monitoring device is further adapted to transmit a signal including information corresponding at least to an identification of the monitoring device. The system also includes an event handling device adapted to receive signals from the monitoring device, including information corresponding to the identification of the monitoring device. The event handling device is further adapted to transmit a signal including information corresponding to the identification of the monitoring device.
