    Abstract: A synthetic coated surface product which includes a substrate, an interface layer which is a polymeric composition that has penetrated the substrate layer to a sufficient depth to inhibit delamination, and a layer of granules mixed with a polyester resin supported on the interface layer. The surface can be left as cured and unfinished for a rough finish, subsequently sanded to provide a matte finish, or after sanding, polished for a shiny finish.
