  • Patent number: 4620758
Abstract: A busway structure which contains a device for connecting insulated bus bars. The device has a T-shaped bushing inserted through apertures in busway members to be connected. The T-shaped bushing has a threaded bore into which is screwed a mating bolt. The bolt head rests on an O-ring cap so that tightening the bolt forces the O-ring cap against the outer surface of one bar member and compresses the head of the T-shaped bushing against the outer surface of the other bar member for firm engagement therebetween of the bus bar members. Preferably, the T-shaped bushing extends through all bus members being connected and into the interior chamber of the O-ring cap.

  • Patent number: 4568803
Abstract: A telephone booth having the appearance of an inverted truncated pyramid, wherein one side of the pyramid enclosure permits access to the booth. Within the booth is the dialing mechanism which is indirectly connected to the dialing circuitry. Also within the booth are remote voice transmitting and receiving devices which are activated by credit cards, tokens or coins. Safe storage for the tokens is in the base of the booth. The supporting column for the booth acts as a conduit for the tokens. The improved telephone booth is virtually vandal-proof and is intended for use as part of a telephone system network.

  • Patent number: 4540845
Abstract: Method and composition for protecting an electrical grounding device having a generally vertically disposed metal tubular electrode buried in the ground. Near the lower end of the tube, slots are provided in the sidewalls through which a special viscous fluid composition is injected into the surrounding soil to fix the tube in place and provide electrical contact with the earth. The composition surrounds and prevents excessive corrosion of buried metallic bodies and particularly those metallic bodies which are intended to provide electrical contact with the earth. The composition surrounding the metallic body contains primarily metallic oxides such as silicon dioxide. The oxidation activity of the metallic component should have a single electrode potential (standard or formal) at 25.degree. C. of from -0.4 to -2.90. The composition may also contain other metallic oxides in admixture with the primary oxide.
