  • Patent number: 4391464
Abstract: The invention concerns a bumper or front piece for motorvehicles, consisting of a bumper or the like of an open cross-section, substantially C-shaped, closed on the rear in a removable way by a reinforcing plate or wall of varying thickness, consisting of a substantially straight lamina having at its opposite ends at least one enlargement radiused through a slanting plane to said lamina and being provided with suitable means for the steady anchoring of the whole reinforcing piece to the bumper itself, so as to obtain a reinforcing wall of such a shape or profile as to effectively oppose flectional and shearing stresses on the supports, said reinforcing wall having along its longitudinal edges elastic coupling means with suitable gains, with other means provided along the longitudinal edges of the bumper, so as to achieve a mechanical coupling capable of ensuring the solidarity between the jointed parts and contemporaneously to resist longitudinal tangential stresses.

  • Patent number: 4186232
Abstract: A self-supporting roof plate for motor vehicles and the like is disclosed, characterized in that said roof plate consists essentially of a composite structure comprising a plate of rigid thermoplastic material bonded to a layer of foamed plastic material having a thermo-acoustical insulating function, and a layer of an aesthetically pleasing plastic material, said multi-layer structure being so shaped as to include on opposite sides two hook-like or S-shaped arcuate strips forming elastically yielding strips, adapted for the assemblage of the structure against the roof body of the car, by snap-fitting said arcuate strips into grooves prearranged between the roof ceiling and the body sides of the vehicle. The rigid plate may be a box-type or similar structure. The arcuate strips may be obtained by the thermo-forming of the composite structure.

  • Patent number: 4179307
Abstract: A dish-washing machine composed of thermoplastic material comprising an inner enclosure fitting within but spaced from an outer enclosure, and a plurality of functional units. The functional units include a dish-carrying drawer unit having a rotor mounted within the inner enclosure, an electrical control unit mounted in the space between the upper end of the inner enclosure and the outer enclosure, and an hydraulic unit located in the space between the lower end of the inner enclosure and the outer enclosure. A vapor condenser is located within the space between the inner and outer enclosures for condensing steam passing through holes in the inner enclosure.
