  • Patent number: 6023454
Abstract: A network for exchanging transactions between operators, includes a plurality of nodes, each of which includes a same number of inputs and outputs connected to operators or other nodes, and a mechanism for routing several transactions with a same destination towards different respective outputs, wherein each node comprises a routing table which associates one of the outputs of the node to each destination of a transaction.

  • Patent number: 5751736
Abstract: A testable electronic system includes testable elements having standardized test interfaces for organizing the elements in chains which behave like shift registers to ensure the exchange of test information. Each element are either a component including an identifier characterizing the behavior of the test of the component and accessible by the test interface of the component, or a switch for organizing a chain in sub-chains which can be individually selected through channels of the switch. The system includes master switches which define respective sub-sets of elements, a specific channel of each master switch being reserved to access an identifier characterizing the test organization of the associated sub-set.

  • Patent number: 5062196
Abstract: A method of manufacturing the pole pieces and the gap of magnetic heads in thin layers for computer, audio and video applications, starting from a silicon substrate, includes formation of an insulator layer on a silicon substrate followed by deposition of a metal layer on the insulator layer and of a masking resin layer on the metal layer. The substrate covered with the insulator layer and the metal layer is etched to form wells bordering a bar of a determined width and the left-over portion of the metal layer etched is removed. The etched substrate is thermally oxidized to develop a silicon oxide layer enabling the bar to be adjusted to obtain the desired gap. A conductive layer is deposited at the bottom of the wells followed by the electrolytic deposition of a magnetic material in the wells and the removal of the left-over portion of the insulator layer initially deposited on the substrate.

  • Patent number: 4992897
Abstract: A device for reading and writing of information on a magnetic medium such as a disk or tape comprises at least one reading and writing head placed on a base having a catamaran type profile. The head is composed of a magnetic circuit (a winding on a medium) self-positioned and welded to the walls of a hole made in the base, a flow concentrator in contact with the extremities of the magnetic circuit and a pole piece made up of two magnetic parts separated by a magnetic spacer. The pole piece is positioned opposite to the track of the magnetic medium.

  • Patent number: 4964212
Abstract: According to the invention, blind holes (27) and not through-holes are produced. For this purpose, the substrate (10) to be pierced or perforated is previously covered with a layer (12) less absorbing for the laser perforating beam (26) than the substrate.Application to the production of electronic circuits, magnetic recording devices, etc.

  • Patent number: 4829659
Abstract: Process for producing a magnetic head with a horizontal structure. A planar subassembly is formed having a first pole piece (38), interconnection tracks (40, 42) and intraconnection tracks (32, 34) through the substrate. The connections are surrounded by a guard ring (54, 56, 58). It is then necessary to form a winding, which is connected to tracks (40, 42) and a second pole piece.
