    Abstract: A system for transmitting data between the ground and moving vehicles, for example consisting of a stretch of railway line V.sub.1 having beacons between the rails. The various beacons are connected to nodes, e.g. N.sub.i, N.sub.j, N.sub.k, which are in turn linked to a nodal transmission point (CNT) and to fixed railway installations controlling, for example, a points motor. The system is useful particularly in the field of data transmission between the ground and moving railway vehicles such as locomotives, passenger coaches, freight wagons, and train units.

  • Installation for the remote monitoring and control of the open and closed state of one among a plurality of contacts

The installation consists of a non-security control circuit made up of coder couples (such as CM.sub.1, CV.sub.1 CM.sub.2, CV.sub.2 and CM.sub.3 CV.sub.3) and a microcontroller (1), connected by a modem (2) and a data transmission link (3) to a central security control (LST). This installation is useful in the railway domain, to remotely monitor contacts.
