  • Publication number: 20220401944
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for unblocking pores in a metal zeolite based selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst. The method includes filling, at least partially, the SCR catalyst with a liquid, the liquid being preferably distilled water. The method includes letting said liquid inside the SCR catalyst enough time to allow said liquid to dissolve, at least partially, the obstructions and to penetrate into the pores. The method includes heating the SCR catalyst at a temperature above the ebullition temperature of the liquid so as to vaporize the part of the liquid remained into the pores, and generate steam flows through the obstructions, the steam flows removing the obstructions and unblocking the pores, wherein no hydrocarbons are injected during the step of heating.

  • Patent number: 10752235
Abstract: A method for controlling a hybrid vehicle propulsion system that includes an internal combustion engine and an exhaust after treatment device for treating exhaust gases from the engine includes determining during operation of the vehicle a value of a parameter indicative of an efficiency of the exhaust after treatment device, identifying a vehicle operation cycle start event, determining during the operation of the vehicle an engine operation history characteristic for a time interval after the vehicle operation cycle start event, and determining whether or not to control the propulsion system so as to increase the efficiency of the exhaust after treatment device, in dependence on the determined exhaust after treatment device efficiency parameter value and the determined engine operation history characteristic.

  • Patent number: 9097159
Abstract: A method is provided for detecting urea deposits in an exhaust line of an automotive vehicle and includes determination if an exhaust gas's temperature is reached, if the result of determination is positive, stoppage of urea injection, and determination of the quantity of NOx in the exhaust gases on the outlet of the selective catalytic reduction system. A comparison is performed between the quantity of NOx determined on the outlet of the selective catalytic reduction system and a theoretical quantity or a measured quantity of NOx produced by the internal combustion engine. If the comparison shows that the quantities are different, it is considered that urea deposits are present in the exhaust line. A vehicle is also disclosed.
