  • Publication number: 20240133835
Abstract: A sensor for measuring the degradation of a fabric property is disclosed. The sensor includes a conductive track and a sacrificial material coupled to the conductive track, such that degradation of the sacrificial material results in reduction or loss of electrical conductivity of the conductive track. A method of measuring the performance degradation of a fabric, using a sensor is also provided. The method includes the step of measuring the electrical resistance of the sensor, and comparing the result to a known or empirically measured value to estimate the remaining useful life of the fabric performance.

  • Patent number: 11905630
Abstract: A double-faced fabric of knitted construction has a first layer and a second layer. The first layer forms a first outward-facing surface of the fabric, which includes a first yarn that includes first inherently fire-resistant fibers and optionally first elastane fibers. The second layer forms a second outward-facing surface of the fabric, which includes a second yarn that includes second FR viscose fibers and optionally second elastane fibers, other cellulosic-derived fiber, synthetic fire-resistant fiber, antibacterial fiber or combination of such. The first layer and the second layer are attached to each other by interlocking relationship between the first yarn and the second yarn. The first outward-facing surface and the second outward-facing surface of the fabric may used for a garment's outer surface and the inner surface, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20220162782
Abstract: A double-faced fabric of knitted construction has a first layer and a second layer. The first layer forms a first out-ward-facing surface of the fabric, which includes a first yarn that includes first inherently fire-resistant fibers and optionally first elastane fibers. • Publication number: 20020111673
Abstract: The invention provides tailored, biocompatible conduits for use as, for example, stents, vascular grafts, and drug delivery devices, and methods of making the conduits. The conduits are formed from a resin-impregnated matrix that is introduced to a site of interest in a malleable state, formed into a desired shape, and cured by exposure to radiant energy. The radiant energy may be visible light.
