  • Patent number: 6266820
Abstract: A bib having an area on each shoulder extension which is permanently elongated to provide extensibility and elasticity which minimizes distortion of the bib body as the shoulder extensions are fastened around a wearer's neck. The area on each shoulder extension can include a strainable network. The network can be formed in a laminate of a paper layer and a plastic film layer. The strainable network can have at least two visually distinct regions.

  • Patent number: 6061827
Abstract: A bib having a predisposition for folding or bending to conform to the wearer. The predisposition is provided by slits, notches or other features which selectively reduce the cross sectional area of the bib or otherwise provide a hinge line. Preferably, the slits or notches are symmetric relative to the longitudinal centerline of the bib. The reduced cross section may extend essentially continuously across the lateral width of the bib. If desired, the hinge lines may converge as the bottom edge of the bib is approached. Preferably, the hinge lines converge at a common point which intercepts both the longitudinal centerline and the bottom edge of the bib.

  • Patent number: H1614
Abstract: A compound sanitary napkin including a primary absorbent member and a secondary absorbent member. The primary absorbent member has a length and a width. The secondary absorbent member has a length and a width. The primary absorbent member and the secondary absorbent member have a common length. The primary absorbent member includes an absorbent core and a fluid pervious topsheet superposed on the absorbent core. The secondary absorbent member includes a fluid pervious topsheet, a fluid impervious backsheet joined to the topsheet and an absorbent element positioned between the topsheet and the backsheet. The primary absorbent member is affixed to the secondary absorbent member by union means in such a manner that the longest unattached distance between adjacent points of attachment is less than 75% of the common length.
