  • Publication number: 20220150878
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, apparatus, methods and/or the like for generating a resource distribution hub using for fully electronic resource distribution by using mobile device application designed to interface with an embedded Near-Field Communication (NFC) tag in a resource distribution instrument that stores instructions for processing the resource distribution authorization information. The holder (i.e., resource provider) of the resource distribution instrument can use the resource distribution instrument to communicate to a mobile communication device having an NFC reader to read the instructions and process a resource distribution according to the parameters of the mobile device application. As such, the holder (i.e., resource provider) of the resource distribution request can process the resource distribution without having to issue a credentials, aliases, pin codes, and the like conventionally used to authorizes the distribution of resources to the resource requester.

  • Publication number: 20220134013
Abstract: Medication delivery devices are provided having a sensor in the form of a switch having a conductive pad and a cantilevered arm that is moveable toward and away from the conductive pad. Contact between the cantilevered arm and the conductive pad changes the state of the switch, while lack of contact between the cantilevered arm and the conductive pad changes the state of the switch. The switch may be used to sense dosage of medication delivered during dose delivery. The switch may interact with a rotating component having a plurality of teeth that slide against the cantilevered arm during dose delivery.

  • Patent number: 11275774
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products for using searchable aggregate indices associated with non-aggregated value storage. In one method, a search system stores metadata values for each of a plurality of objects in a storage unit. The metadata values are stored in corresponding value storage locations that are associated with an identifiable metadata fields. An aggregate index is provided which includes a dictionary of terms that are contained in metadata values associated with a designated set of the metadata fields. The aggregate index is searched for one or more specific search terms, and one or more of the metadata values are retrieved from the value storage locations in response to the search, where the individual metadata fields associated with the retrieved metadata values are identified.

  • Patent number: 11196737
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system for secondary authentication via contactless distribution of dynamic resources. When an event request associated with a user is received, a prompt for event information is transmitted to a computing device. Based on the event information that is received, a determination is made that the event request requires a secondary authentication in the form of a near field communication (“NFC”) interaction between an NFC chip associated with the user and a secondary authentication device. The NFC chip associated with the user may additionally be associated with a dynamic resource value element. Once the NFC interaction is detected, a dynamic resource value is extracted and compared to an expected dynamic resource value. If the values match, then the user is authenticated for the requested event at the secondary authentication level.

  • Publication number: 20210370111
Abstract: Described herein are zonal fire suppression systems and methods of using such systems for suppressing fires in cargo aircraft. A system is configured to individually monitor the temperature in each of multiple cargo zones in the cargo area. The system is also configured to selectively activate one or more of multiple zone distribution components to distribute a fire suppressant material, based at least on the temperature monitoring. The zonal approach to the temperature monitoring and to the fire suppressant material distribution allows reducing the fire suppressant material amount needed on the cargo aircraft, which, in turn, reduces the aircraft load. Furthermore, in some examples, the zonal approach eliminates unnecessary contact between the cargo (e.g., in the zones unaffected by fire) and the fire suppressant material. In some examples, this fire suppression involves depressurizing of the cargo area, in addition to or instead of the fire suppressant material distribution material.
