  • Patent number: 8151719
Abstract: A method of distributing at least one product on a ground surface with a drill having two sets of seeding units connected to a distribution system. A desired distribution pattern is selected between a separate pattern, where a first one of the at least one product is distributed through only the first sets of seeding units, and a mixed pattern, where the first product is distributed through both sets of seeding units. A distribution system is provided, defining a communication between the two sets of seeding units and a reservoir of the drill. When the separate pattern is selected, first and second sections of the distribution system are configured such that only the first section is in communication with the first set of seeding units, and the first product is received from the reservoir in the first section for distribution through only the first set of seeding units.

  • Patent number: 7980187
Abstract: A distribution system for a drill, having a body defining first and second outlets in communication with a delivery system of the drill. The body includes at least two first and two second containment units. The first containment units are in communication with only a first one of the two outlets, and the second containment units are in communication with only a second one of the two outlets. A separation system in a separate configuration opens a communication between the first containment units and a communication between the second containment units, with the first containment units being separate from the second containment units. The separation system in the mixed configuration closes the communication between the first containment units and the communication between the second containment units. Two different products can thus alternately be distributed separately or together.

  • Patent number: 7665410
Abstract: A drill for seeds and/or solid fertilizer having a support frame and a plurality of planter row units extending transversally of the direction of travel which are separated in first, second and third groups. A central member supports the first group and is attached to the support frame in a transverse manner so that the units of the first group are in contact with the ground in an operational position. First and second outer members respectively support the second and third groups and are attached respectively to a first and second end of the central member so that the outer members can rest in a first operational position collinear with the central member with the units of the second and third groups in contact with the ground, in a second position parallel to and over the central member, and in a third position perpendicular to and over the central member.

  • Publication number: 20090301366
Abstract: A method of distributing first and second products on a ground surface, including selecting a desired distribution pattern between a separate pattern; providing a drill having two sets of seeding units connected to a distribution system; configuring first and second sections of the distribution system according to the selected distribution pattern, each of the first and second sections being in communication with a single respective one of the sets of seeding units when the separate pattern is selected, each of the first and second sections being in communication with the two sets of seeding units when the mixed pattern is selected; receiving the first product in the first section and the second product in the second section; and distributing the first and second products through the seeding units according to the selected distribution pattern.

  • Patent number: 7565871
Abstract: A distribution system for a drill including a body having at least two outlets defined therein and having at least two separate hollow sections configurable into a selected one of separate and mixed configurations. Each of the sections in the separate configuration is in communication with a single respective one of the outlets such that the distribution system is adapted to separately distribute the product received in each of the sections through the single respective one of the outlets. Each of the sections in the mixed configuration is in communication with the at least two outlets such that the distribution system is adapted to simultaneously distribute the product received in each of the sections through the at least two outlets.
