  • Patent number: 6941907
Abstract: A homogeneous or pre-mixed charge auto-ignition engine comprising two interconnected chambers (20, 30) one of which is the combustion chamber (20) and the other (30) containing the power transmitting member (31). Between the two chambers (20, 30) there is means to control the pressure movement (40, 41, 43, 46) therebetween when the air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber (20) ignites so that the force of combustion is effectively applied to the piston (31).

  • Publication number: 20040118637
Abstract: A fail-safe service machine for the power steering system of automotive vehicles includes a pair of pumps each driven by electrical power from a vehicle under service, and a suction/delivery probe extending into the power steering system reservoir of the vehicle to remove old power steering fluid, and to simultaneously deliver new power steering fluid as a downwardly directed jet or stream of fluid extending toward the bottom of the power steering fluid reservoir.

  • Patent number: 6427643
Abstract: A lean burn auto-ignition internal combustion engine which has a combustion volume which includes two parts one entering into the other, the volume of the second part being variable by control means (34) which takes into account the various operating parameters of the engine to ensure that auto-ignition takes place at a time which ensures maximum benefit from the ignited fuel charge. In a piston engine there is a secondary cylinder (30) and piston (31) entering into the main cylinder (10), the piston in the secondary cylinder being continuously movable to vary the compression ration of the combustion volume defined by the two pistons (11, 31) so that ignition takes place at a position of the movement of the main piston to ensure maximum utilization of the power generated by the ignited charge.

  • Patent number: 5791855
Abstract: This invention provides a mechanical device which can be easily positioned around an object to be moved, such that the object is securely held by the device and able to be easily moved to a new location. The invention is a lifting device which comprises an open chassis arrangement such that the object to be lifted can enter the device, and as it does so at least one moveable arm will engage and secure the object within the lifting device.
