  • Publication number: 20240118068
Abstract: Provided herein are various embodiments of an improved device for accurate measurement along a desired axis that is tolerant to off axis movement and other environmental factors. The measurement relies on a conversion from linear displacement of a tensile element in a pulley system which is monitored by a low power rotational encoder. The orientation and mechanical architecture of the device is set to reduce the impact of off-axis movement or forces on the measurement of interest. A computing unit determines the distance measurement by determining the state of rotation in the system in the context of the system's specific design, without the need to constantly monitor the sensor.

  • Patent number: 11943207
Abstract: Methods, systems, and use cases for one-touch inline cryptographic data security are discussed, including an edge computing device with a network communications circuitry (NCC), an enhanced DMA engine coupled to a memory device and including a cryptographic engine, and processing circuitry configured to perform a secure exchange with a second edge computing device to negotiate a shared symmetric encryption key, based on a request for data. An inline encryption command for communication to the enhanced DMA engine is generated. The inline encryption command includes a first address associated with a storage location storing the data, a second address associated with a memory location in the memory device, and the shared symmetric encryption key. The data is retrieved from the storage location using the first address, the data is encrypted using the shared symmetric encryption key, and the encrypted data is stored in the memory location using the second address.

  • Patent number: 11377420
Abstract: A highly effective synthetic route to produce donor-acceptor azetines through the highly enantioselective [3+1]-cycloaddition of silyl-protected enoldiazoacetates with aza-ylides using chiral copper(I) catalysis is provided. In one embodiment, the 2-azetidine cycloaddition products undergo generation of 3-azetidinones by reactions with nucleophiles that produce a broad spectrum of peptide products by the retro-Claisen reaction provided by facile strain with high efficacy and complete retention of enantiopurity. This ring opening reaction uncovers a new methodology for the attachment of chiral peptide units to a variety of amines and alcohols, and tolerates a broad scope of nucleophiles including naturally occurring amines, alcohols, amino acids, and other nitrogen based nucleophiles.

  • Patent number: 10063549
Abstract: A technique of supporting multi-factor authentication uses a database server. The technique involves receiving suspicious user activity data from a first set of authentication servers and storing the suspicious user activity data from the first set of authentication servers, as sharable authentication data, in a database of the database server. The technique further involves providing the sharable authentication data from the database to a second set of authentication servers. Each authentication server of the second set of authentication servers performs multi-factor authentication operations based on (i) local authentication data which is gathered by that authentication server and (ii) the sharable authentication data provided from the database. Accordingly, useful authentication data from one authentication server (e.g.
