  • Patent number: 8655618
Abstract: A method for obtaining physiological muscle values of a user by a programmable accelerometer. In a first step, a user selects the type of test to be carried out. In a second step, a sequence of acceleration data is measured by the portable accelerometer during the test. In a third step, the end of the test is determined by the accelerometer by verifying a condition dependent on the type of test selected, and a sound signal is emitted. Finally, a value calculated on the basis of said successive measurements of the acceleration and dependent on the type of test selected is displayed.

  • Patent number: 8157707
Abstract: Method enabling an athlete (3) performing a muscular training exercise to determine a setpoint for the rate of displacement of the displaced mass (2), comprising the following steps: 1) determining at least one initial setpoint rate at which said mass has to be displaced; 2) during the athlete's training exercise, measuring a series of acceleration values (a(n)) using a portable accelerometer (30) according to the displacements of said mass; and 3) depending on said series of acceleration values, having said portable accelerometer calculate at least one modified setpoint rate.

  • Publication number: 20100317489
Abstract: A method for optimizing the training of athletes, including the steps of during a test, measuring with a portable device (1) a series of acceleration values during a series of N short movements performed by the athlete. Then, calculating with the device a plurality of muscular parameters based on the series of acceleration values. The device then determines a set of training exercises personalized for the athlete, based on the muscular parameters and presents the said set of training exercises to the athlete. The device then verifies the execution of the training exercises.

  • Publication number: 20100211349
Abstract: Method for obtaining physiological muscle values of a user by means of a programmable accelerometer, wherein the method comprises the following operations: selection, by the user, of the type of test to be carried out; measurements of a sequence of acceleration data during the test; emission of sound signals at the beginning, during and at the end of the test. The end of the test is determined by verifying a condition dependent on the type of test selected. The sound signals can indicate the beginning of a test, an action to be carried out during the test, or an error condition during the test; displaying of a value calculated on the basis of said successive measurements of the acceleration and dependent on the type of test selected.

  • Publication number: 20090069722
Abstract: Device (1) for measuring muscular capacity, comprising: removable fastening means (12) for fastening the device to the athlete or to the moved weight (3; 2); autonomous electrical power supply means (15); a display (11); a three-axis accelerometer (14) for delivering a sequence of accelerations (a(t)) along the axis of movement of the weight, said sequence comprising at least 100 measurements per second over a duration between 1 and 10 seconds; and data processing means (16) for determining, at the end of the test, on the basis of said sequence of accelerations, at least one quantity representative of the muscular capacity of the athlete and for displaying this quantity on said display (11).
