Publication number: 20240167866Abstract: A fluid level sensor for sensing a level of a fluid within a toroid-shaped tank includes a float ring, a float structure, a gauge shaft, and a tiller arm. The float ring rotate s within the toroid-shaped tank about a first rotational axis. The float structure exhibits buoyancy in the fluid disposed within the toroid-shaped tank and supplies a force to the float ring based on the level of the fluid within the toroid-shaped tank. The gauge shaft is mounted for rotation about a second rotational axis and rotates about the second rotational axis to a position representative of the level of the fluid within the toroid-shaped tank. The tiller arm supplies the rotational drive force to the gauge shaft when the float ring rotates.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 21, 2022Publication date: May 23, 2024Applicant: HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC.Inventors: Cristopher Frost, Jennifer Battista, Christopher Zollars, Eric Bridges, Carlos Enrique Murrieta, Victor Cabilan, Jason Vizcaino, Patrick Flynn

Patent number: 11761117Abstract: A physical vapor transport growth system includes a growth chamber charged with SiC source material and a SiC seed crystal in spaced relation and an envelope that is at least partially gas-permeable disposed in the growth chamber. The envelope separates the growth chamber into a source compartment that includes the SiC source material and a crystallization compartment that includes the SiC seed crystal. The envelope is formed of a material that is reactive to vapor generated during sublimation growth of a SiC single crystal on the SiC seed crystal in the crystallization compartment to produce C-bearing vapor that acts as an additional source of C during the growth of the SiC single crystal on the SiC seed crystal.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2021Date of Patent: September 19, 2023Assignee: II-VI DELAWARE, INC.Inventors: Avinash Gupta, Ilya Zwieback, Edward Semenas, Marcus Getkin, Patrick Flynn

Patent number: 11688161Abstract: A three dimensional bounding box is determined from a two dimensional image. A two dimensional bounding box is calculated based on a detected object within the image. A three dimensional bounding box is parameterized as having a yaw angle, dimensions, and a position. The yaw angle is defined as the angle between a ray passing through a center of the two dimensional bounding box and an orientation of the three dimensional bounding box. The yaw angle and dimensions are determined by passing the portion of the image within the two dimensional bounding box through a trained convolutional neural network. The three dimensional bounding box is then positioned such that the projection of the three dimensional bounding box into the image aligns with the two dimensional bounding box previously detected. Characteristics of the three dimensional bounding box are then communicated to an autonomous system for collision and obstacle avoidance.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2020Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: Zoox, Inc.Inventors: Arsalan Mousavian, John Patrick Flynn, Dragomir Dimitrov Anguelov

Patent number: 11327957Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices supporting a data model for emissions analysis are described. Some database systems may store emissions data and support a sustainability application. The sustainability application may display reports that track and analyze data related to carbon emissions. In some cases, underlying data for a report is missing from the database system. The system may support extrapolation techniques to estimate the missing data and aggregate the underlying data—including the extrapolated values—according to a data schema of the database to calculate fields in a report. In some cases, a single data record may be used to generate multiple reports. The system may send one or more results to a user device for display in a user interface (e.g., in one or more dashboards). Additionally or alternatively, the system can display underlying calculations (e.g., report calculations, extrapolation calculations, etc.) in the user interface to support auditing activities.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 2019Date of Patent: May 10, 2022Assignee: salesforce.com, inc.Inventors: Shengyuan Su, Kevin Vranes, Mohit Bhasin, Donald Rivard, Jahnavi Gangula Reddy, Elena Migunova, Patrick Flynn, Thomas Gonzales

Patent number: 10247310Abstract: A self-retaining, recessed seal for reception in an open top groove, where the groove is neither configured for seal retention (e.g., convergent side walls), nor provided with seal retention features such as flanges, projections, etc. No adhesives are required, enabling the seal to be easily removed for cleaning, etc. The self-retaining seal has a bottom structure with lateral extensions, wider than the groove, with upwardly angled surfaces at the edges and portions that extend upward when compressed laterally by the walls of the groove. Side walls of the seal extend upward from the bottom structure and are slightly narrower than the groove, to avoid or minimize contact with the groove side walls when the seal is inflated. The configuration enables relatively easy installation of the seal but effectively prevents the seal from “walking” out of the groove over time, with repeated cycles of inflation and deflation.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2017Date of Patent: April 2, 2019Assignee: Pawling Engineered Products Inc.Inventors: Douglas E.
