  • Publication number: 20130251710
Abstract: The present disclosure provides improved methods for identifying breast cancer patients that receive an increased benefit from the addition of a HER2-targeted therapy, for example adjuvant trastuzumab, to chemotherapy.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 8, 2013
    Publication date: September 26, 2013
    Applicant: NSABP Foundation, Inc.
Inventors: Soonmyung Paik, Katherine Pogue-Geile, Patrick Gavin
  • Patent number: 8082208
Abstract: Information about a company is compiled from a plurality of public sources. The information is then analyzed to identify a plurality of relevant factors from the information. The factors are used to rate risks associated with the company. A profile is generated based on the factors to summarize the risks associated with the company.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 9, 2008
Date of Patent: December 20, 2011
    Inventor: John Patrick Gavin

  • Publication number: 20070175243
Abstract: A method of manufacturing mineral fibers includes rotating an orificed spinner and supplying molten mineral material to the spinner to centrifuge steams of molten mineral material. A downward annular flow of attenuating gases is directed to attenuate the streams of molten mineral material into mineral fibers. A mixture of combustion air and combustion gas is supplied to an annular burner positioned around the spinner. Heat from the annular burner is directed toward the spinner and the streams of molten mineral material to heat the spinner and assist in attenuating the streams of molten mineral material into mineral fibers. A pressure sensor senses the pressure of the combustion air prior to the introduction of the combustion air to the burner. The pressure of the combustion air is controlled in response to the sensed pressure to maintain the pressure of the combustion air at a specific pressure.

  • Publication number: 20070000286
Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing low diameter, high quality glass wool fibers, and more particularly to a spinner for centrifuging low diameter glass wool fibers to improve light-density building insulation is disclosed. The spinner includes a number of glass orifices positioned predetermined column angle and provides a hole pattern that improves the quality of the glass. The improved hole pattern is determined by experimentation and may be implemented in any glass fiberization process.

  • Patent number: 7066306
Abstract: There is a brake disc rotor having a central hub (1) co-axial with surrounding rings (2) which form brake bands (3) for engagement with brake pads. The rings (3) are supported in a spaced apart parallel configuration with channels (12) therebetween whereby in use of the rotor cooling air is drawn in through vent openings formed around the inner periphery of the rings (3) and then radially outwardly through the channels (12) as the rotor turns. The vent openings include inlet vent ports (7) on the outboard side of the rotor.

  • Publication number: 20040188196
Abstract: There is a brake disc rotor having a central hat (1) co-axial with surrounding rings (2) which form brake bands (3) for engagement with brake pads. The rings (3) are supported in a spaced apart parallel configuration with channels (12) therebetween whereby in use of the rotor cooling air is drawn in through vent means formed around the inner periphery of the rings (3) and then radially outwardly through the channels (12) as the rotor turns. The vent means include inlet vent ports (7) on the outboard side of the rotor.
