  • Patent number: 11787030
Abstract: A power tool includes a housing in which a drive unit is arranged, and a tool holder for the detachable holding of a tool insert. The tool insert is configured to be driven percussively and/or rotationally. A sensor unit is configured to detect at least one movement variable, and electronics are configured to control or regulate the power tool. The electronics have a percussion detection unit configured to determine a percussion mode based on at least one movement variable and/or a rotation detection unit configured to determine a rotation of the housing. The electronics control the drive unit based on the determined percussion mode and/or the determined rotation of the housing. The electronics have at least two parameter sets for the percussion detection unit and/or at least two parameter sets for the rotation detection unit. • Publication number: 20230147667
Abstract: A hand-held power tool includes a housing in which at least one drive motor for driving a tool holder is disposed. The hand-held power tool further includes a rechargeable battery pack interface for placing a rechargeable battery pack for supplying power to the drive motor. The rechargeable battery pack interface forms a primary support for the rechargeable battery pack. At least two intermediate elements for forming a secondary support are disposed on the housing in the region of the rechargeable battery pack interface. The at least two intermediate elements are disposed in such a way that a specified distance between the at least two intermediate elements and a rechargeable battery pack disposed at the rechargeable battery pack interface is provided which decreases in the direction of the at least two intermediate elements in the event of a shock pulse to the rechargeable battery pack and forms the secondary support when the rechargeable battery pack abuts the at least two intermediate elements.

  • Patent number: 11279016
Abstract: A system includes first and second power tools that each have a percussion mechanism, a motor, and a transmission. The transmission includes a striking mechanism and is configured to transfer a driving motion of the motor to an insert tool held in a tool holder. The transmission has a guide tube that is identical in some regions along a working axis and accommodates a striker. The guide tube is rotatably coupled to the motor by a first transmission unit. The striker is driven to linearly oscillate by a piston of a second transmission unit. A ratio between a diameter of the tool holder and a diameter of the guide tube is 1.8 times greater in the first power tool than in the second power tool. A striking energy of the second power tool is mechanically reduced compared to a striking energy of the first power tool.

  • Patent number: 6064970
Abstract: A method and system of determining a cost of automobile insurance based upon monitoring, recording and communicating data representative of operator and vehicle driving characteristics. The cost is adjustable retrospectively and can be prospectively set by relating the driving characteristics to predetermined safety standards. The method comprises steps of monitoring a plurality of raw data elements representative of an operating state of the vehicle or an action of the operator. Selected ones of the raw data elements are recorded when the ones are determined to have an identified relationship to safety standards. The selected ones are consolidated for processing against an insurer profile and for identifying a surcharge or discount to be applied to a base cost of automobile insurance. A final cost is produced from the base costs and the surcharges or discounts.
