  • Patent number: 9735576
Abstract: A method of adding a power feed to electrical systems includes coupling a set of input lines to a power source such that the input lines are connected to at least one phase of AC power from the power source, and coupling a set of backfeed lines to an output receptacle in a power distribution unit. The output receptacle may be connected in parallel with at least one other output receptacle that is supplying primary power to systems in the data center. The set of backfeed lines and the set of input lines may be tested to determine a match between a pair of lines in the set of backfeed lines and a pair of lines in the set of input lines. Determining the match may include matching the phase of the pair of backfeed lines with the phase of the pair of input lines.

  • Patent number: 9707238
Abstract: Biocompatible microparticles include an ophthalmically active cyclic lipid component and a biodegradable polymer that is effective, when placed into the subconjunctival space, in facilitating release of the cyclic lipid component into the anterior and posterior segments of an eye for an extended period of time. The cyclic lipid component can be associated with a biodegradable polymer matrix, such as a matrix of a two biodegradable polymers. Or, the cyclic lipid component can be encapsulated by the polymeric component. The present microparticles include oil-in-water emulsified microparticles. The subconjunctivally administered microparticles can be used to treat or to reduce at least one symptom of an ocular condition, such as glaucoma or age related macular degeneration.

  • Publication number: 20160327596
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices of the various aspects enable detecting anomalous electromagnetic (EM) emissions from among a plurality of electronic devices. A device processor may receive EM emissions of a plurality of electronic devices, wherein the receiving device has no previous information about any of the plurality of electronic devices. The device processor may cross-correlate the EM emissions of the plurality of electronic devices over time. The device processor may identify a difference of the cross-correlated EM emissions from earlier cross-correlated EM emissions. The device processor may determine that the difference of the cross-correlated EM emissions from the earlier cross-correlated EM emissions indicates an anomaly in one or more of the plurality of electronic devices.

  • Publication number: 20160242050
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices of the various aspects enable detecting a malfunction caused by radio frequency (RF) interference. A computing device processor may identify a location of the computing device based on a plurality of real-time data inputs received by the computing device. The processor may characterize an RF environment of the computing device based on the identified location and the plurality of real-time data inputs. The processor may determine at least one RF emissions threshold based on the characterization of the RF environment. The processor may compare the characterization of the RF environment to the at least one RF emissions threshold, and may perform an action in response to determining that the characterization of the RF environment exceeds the at least one RF emissions threshold.

  • Publication number: 20150372535
Abstract: Reconfiguring a power system for an electrical load includes establishing a secondary feed to an electrical load that is receiving power from a primary power source. A set of secondary feed lines is coupled between a donor power source and a power input to the electrical load such that the set of secondary feed lines is configured to supply power from the donor power source to the electrical load. An automatic transfer switch is coupled in parallel with the set of secondary feed lines. The electrical load is transferred by the automatic transfer switch from the donor power source to the primary power source for the reconfiguration.

  • Patent number: 9067658
Abstract: An inflatable swim vest is constructed with a first layer and a second layer having respective outer edges variously secured together by a temporary closure to define a compartment therebetween. An inflatable bladder arrangement includes an inflatable bladder stored and housed in a deflated condition in separate areas of the compartment. The inflatable bladder arrangement further includes an inflator mechanism operatively connected to a charged gas canister and to the inflatable bladder. The fixtures securing the outer edges of the first and second layers include a temporary closure configured for temporarily affixing the outer edges together and to be easily separable such that upon actuation of the inflator mechanism, gas is delivered to the inflatable bladder. This results in an inflated condition of the bladder, and produces a force that will open the temporary closure and enable expansion of the bladder out of the compartment of the vest.
