  • Publication number: 20210294297
Abstract: In a method for determining the state of wear of a tool, at least one optical image of a surface of the tool is recorded. Image data of the at least one optical image are processed in order to detect a wear zone. A surface extent and/or spatial extent of the wear zone is determined. The state of wear of the tool is classified on the basis of the extent determined. An apparatus for determining the state of wear of a tool correspondingly comprises a camera for recording at least one optical image of a surface of the tool, an image processing module which is configured in such a way that it processes image data of the at least one optical image in order to detect a wear zone, a computation module which is configured in such a way that it determines a surface extent and/or spatial extent of the wear zone, and a classifier module which is configured in such a way that it classifies the state of wear of the tool on the basis of the extent determined.

  • Patent number: 9778484
Abstract: An optical element has a substrate body made from transparent plastic and a coating having multiple layers. The coating includes a hard lacquer layer adjoining the substrate. The coating has a diffusivity ensuring the absorption of water molecules passing through the coating in the substrate and the release of water molecules from the substrate through the coating from an air atmosphere on that side of the coating facing away from the substrate with a flow density which, proceeding from the equilibrium state of the quantity of water molecules absorbed in the substrate in an air atmosphere at 23° C. and 50% relative humidity, brings the setting of the equilibrium state of the quantity of water molecules absorbed in the substrate in an air atmosphere at 40° C. and 95% relative humidity within an interval not more than 10 h longer than for setting this equilibrium under corresponding conditions with an identical uncoated substrate.

  • Patent number: 8048651
Abstract: The present invention features methods of increasing the production of a fine chemical, e.g., lysine from a microorganism, e.g., Corynebacterium by way of deregulating an enzyme encoding gene, i.e., fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase. In a preferred embodiment, the invention provides methods of increasing the production of lysine in Corynebacterium glutamicum by way of increasing the expression of fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase activity. The invention also provides a novel process for the production of lysine by way of regulating carbon flux towards oxaloacetate (OAA). In a preferred embodiment, the invention provides methods for the production of lysine by way of utilizing fructose or sucrose as a carbon source.
