  • Patent number: 11971310
Abstract: An optical fibre, for use in the field of distributed measurement of temperature or deformation by optical reflectometry in the frequency domain using the Rayleigh backscattered signal in the fibre, includes a core doped with nanoparticles for example formed from gold particles covered with zirconium oxide, and can be subjected to high temperatures during the measurement. A method for producing the optical fibre includes a step of heat treatment during which the optical fibre is subjected, for a duration of at least one hour, to a heat treatment temperature higher than a maximum temperature to which it will be subjected during a measurement.

  • Patent number: 10001065
Abstract: An improved closed loop Brayton cycle for a power plant is provided that includes a heater, at least one turbine, a recuperator, at least one cooler, at least one compressor, a bypass line and a flap valve arrangement in a closed circuit in which working fluid is circulated to produce electricity via a generator. Depending upon the requirement, such as, in case of gird load disconnection, speed of a shaft-line to which the turbine, the compressor and the generator are configured is also required to be reduced without any impact on the pressure drop in the cycle. For that the non-tight flap valve arrangement is configured on each conduit between the heater and the at least one turbine in a closest possible proximity to each turbine inlet.

  • Patent number: 9347599
Abstract: A support system for an equipment item on a concrete slab includes at least one raised block relative to the slab and of a single piece with the slab. The block includes a metal belt delimiting the vertical walls of the block and a metal support fastened to the belt and capping the block to receive a foot of the equipment item.

  • Patent number: 5780932
Abstract: An electricity generating unit having a combined cycle, and comprising, mounted in succession along a common line of shafts via rigid couplings (28, 29, 31), a gas turbine (6), a steam turbine having a plurality of modules (1, 2), and an electricity generator (11), the gas turbine (6) being mounted to move in axial translation, and fixed to a moving abutment (27), said electricity generating unit being characterized in that the stator portions of the gas turbine (6) and of the first module (1) of the steam turbine are connected together via at least two links (32), in that said links (32) and the ends of the rotors of the gas turbine (6), and of the first module (1) of the steam turbine are enclosed in an enclosure (33) filled with a heat-conducting fluid, and in that each of the facing ends of the stator portions of the last two modules (1, 2) of the steam turbine is connected to a respective fixed point (34, 35).

  • Patent number: 5149247
Abstract: The HP-MP steam turbine body has a single internal stator surrounding both the HP and the MP portions of the rotor. The internal stator co-operates with the external stator to define axial positioning means for the internal stator and to define a thermal screen for an inter-stator space which is swept with steam taken from one of the last stages of the HP stream. The portions of the internal stator which surround all of the expansion of the HP stream and the hot stages of the MP stream are steam-conditioned in optimum manner, thereby making it possible to reduce the temperature gradient which the internal stator has to withstand, and also the temperature of the fastenings for both of the stators. The internal stator is simple in structure, the dimensioning of the HP-MP body is optimized, as are the fastenings, and the temperature control of the stators.
