  • Patent number: 6065365
Abstract: A control lever assembly for generating an electrical signal representative of the position of a linearly-moveable control lever which extends through an elongated passage in a console cover includes a control lever guide rotatably mounted to a bracket beneath the console cover. An arm projecting above the console cover is provided for moving the guide between rotational positions. The guide has an opening with slots of predetermined length associated with the rotational positions which define ranges of linear movement of the control lever. The movement of the control lever causes a sensing circuit to generate the electrical signal representative of the position of the control lever. The assembly also includes a switch actuated by a cam on an end of the guide depending upon the rotational position of the guide. The assembly also includes detent mechanisms for releasably retaining the control lever and the guide in various detent positions.

  • Patent number: 5887669
Abstract: An auxiliary hydraulic system for a working vehicle having an operator station is disclosed herein. The system includes a hydraulic pump for providing hydraulic fluid under pressure, auxiliary hydraulic fittings for connection to auxiliary attachments, and electrically-actuated auxiliary valve assemblies for controlling the supply of hydraulic fluid from the pump to the fittings in response to control signals. The system also includes an operator control console mounted at the operator station and including control levers moveable between different flow positions, flow limit input devices for setting flow limits for the control levers, and a console control circuit for generating command signals based upon the positions of the control levers and the flow limits. The command signals are transmitted to an auxiliary control circuit which generates the control signals in response thereto and applies the control signals to the auxiliary valve assemblies.

  • Patent number: 5615553
Abstract: A hydraulic circuit has a first PV pump connected to a valve group for powering a plurality of hydraulic mechanisms connected to the group, and a second PF pump connected in the circuit. In the improvement, a hydraulic line extends between the second pump and the valve group and there is a conductor sensing a mechanism load pressure. A valve network directs flow from the second pump to the valve group when the difference between the pressure in the hydraulic line and the load pressure declines below a predetermined value. Such decline "signals" that the mechanisms require more fluid than is available from the first pump alone. A new method for supplementing the flow of a first pump with that of a second pump is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4074528
Abstract: A hydraulic control system for controlling the flow between a reservoir, a pump having pressure flow compensating means associated therewith and first and second flow control means for controlling flow to first and second fluid operated devices is disclosed herein. The hydraulic control system includes a priority flow control valve which maintains a priority of flow from the pump to the first flow control means based upon the amount of flow required as well as the pressure requirements. The priority flow control valve has a valve spool which is positioned as a function of a biasing spring, as well as the pressure of the fluid from the pump to the first flow control means and the pressure of the fluid in the first fluid operated device. The system is particularly adapted for functions requiring higher pressure than low stand-by system pressure and where one of those functions require priority over the other.

  • Patent number: 4030295
Abstract: A tractor-implement hydraulic system having a valve interposed between a cylinder-piston assembly, a reservoir and a variable displacement pressure and flow compensated pump having compensating means is disclosed herein. The valve has a housing which has a bore supporting a valve spool and an inlet chamber and pressure chamber in communication with the valve bore with the inlet chamber being connected to the pump while the pressure chamber is connected to both the cylinder and the compensating means so that the cylinder and compensating means are immediately interconnected when the valve spool is actuated in one direction. The valve housing also has a return passage between the cylinder and the reservoir with a valve therein that normally blocks flow and is opened in response to movement of the valve spool in an opposite direction.
