  • Publication number: 20150362482
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of detecting neurotoxin in a sample. The methods of the present invention are highly sensitive and specific, rapid, and clinically relevant with minimal cost. The methods of the present invention use isolated neurons capable of networked synaptic activity, which allows each step of the natural toxin intoxication process to occur, mimicking the clinical manifestation of toxin intoxication. This networked synaptic activity provides rapid and highly sensitive neurotoxin detection. The methods are also directed to detecting neurotoxin neutralizing agents and neurotoxin identity.

  • Publication number: 20150153325
Abstract: The present invention relates to neurons derived from a progenitor cell population, capable of forming synapse and producing neurotransmitter signals. Further, methods of producing such neurons and methods of detecting toxin activity using such neurons are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070275583
Abstract: A communication cabling includes a shielding separator having an elongated center member extending along a dimensional length, and a plurality of elongated dividing members each extending along the dimensional length and extending from the elongated center member. The dividing members may have at least a portion being of an electrically conductive material and others may have conductive material layers adjacent thereto.

  • Publication number: 20070274515
Abstract: A cable port identification system is disclosed that provides identification facilities for communication, data, other cabling and/or wires and the connectors to which they are coupled found in a multi-port station. In some implementations the identification facilities can include label retention and protection and may also include label magnification.

  • Publication number: 20070032129
Abstract: As discussed herein, a connector isolation station system affords protection of transmissions through individual connectors from interference caused by transmissions through other individual connectors in close proximity therewith and/or from interference due to other environmental factors. The connector isolation station is particularly helpful in situations where relatively high-speed transmissions are involved. Protection from interference facilitates high-speed transmissions through the individual connectors.

  • Publication number: 20070031102
Abstract: Cable retainer implementations of a cable retaining system for use with patch panels and other multiport communication equipment are discussed herein. The cable retainer implementations can be useful for supporting, ordering, and otherwise managing cables coupled to multiport equipment found installed in communication racks or in stand-alone applications. The multiport equipment typically includes patch panels and can include other types of multiport equipment as well including network hubs.

  • Publication number: 20070012474
Abstract: To assist in searching, the following abstract includes a receptacle system used to keep a receptacle cap secure through use of an enhanced retaining strap with its associated wall plate when the receptacle cap is unscrewed. The enhanced retaining strap is a separate individual component and is separably coupled to the rest of the receptacle system so that if it is pulled with sufficient force, the strap will break free from the rest of the receptacle system before associated members such as gaskets are damaged or loosened.

  • Publication number: 20060141858
Abstract: An integrated sealable plate assembly for a sealable electrical or fiber optic connector can be used in industrial and other settings. The integrated sealable plate assembly has a plate with frame portions that are inserted into grooves of a gasket so that the plate and gasket can be coupled together as a unit for ready installation with the junction box. The gasket includes appendage portions with inner frame portions for sealing screw holes of the plate without need of conventional o-rings. When the plate and gasket are coupled together as a unit the appendage portions also serve to position and retain screws along with the plate and the gasket to further aid in installation.

  • Publication number: 20060059802
Abstract: A raceway assembly according to the present invention is used in conjunction with a conventional equipment rack to route cables between and otherwise to or from equipment stored in the rack. Guide members project from a trough portion of the raceway and position cables routed through spaces between the guide members. Versions of the guide members have elastic edging providing soft surfaces to reduce cable wear and otherwise protect cables from potential damage and lessening of life span. Some of the edging is formed as a substantial portion of the thickness of the guide member to provide enhanced cushioning of the cables. Versions of the guide members can include a core portion of a rigid or pliable material. Those guide members with a pliable core can be readily bent to provide enhanced support and positioning of cables being held by the guide members.
