Patent number: 11848985Abstract: A method by an email sending system to send emails from different public sending network addresses. The method includes receiving, by a load balancer, an email that is to be sent by the email sending system, sending, by the load balancer, the email to a mail transfer agent (MTA) instance from a plurality of MTA instances, wherein each of the MTA instances has access to configuration data that indicates which proxy virtual machines (VMs) serve as egresses for which public sending network addresses, determining, by the MTA instance, a public sending network address to send the email from, determining, by the MTA instance based on consulting the configuration data, a proxy VM that serves as an egress for the public sending network address, and sending, by the MTA instance, the email to the proxy VM for sending to its destination from the public sending network address.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2021Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Assignee: Salesforce, Inc.Inventor: Patrick Morrison Bennett

Patent number: 11443141Abstract: A method, system and computer-usable medium are disclosed for tracking selected points in a series of images to determine motions made by a subject to perform an action to train a system, such as a machine or robot. A series of images are received depicting incremental steps of the subject performing the action. Selected points that are useful to track the subject performing the action are identified. Datasets of points used to train a model are mapped, and the model is trained using the mapped datasets of points.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2020Date of Patent: September 13, 2022Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Justin Eyster, Al Chakra, Aniruddh Jhavar, Patrick Morrison, Gagandeep Rajpal

Patent number: 8581801Abstract: An antenna element and balun are described. The antenna includes a plurality of droopy bowtie antenna elements disposed on dielectric block and a feed point. The balun includes a central member having dielectric slabs symmetrically disposed on external surfaces thereof. At least one end of the balun is provided having a shape such that conductors on the dielectric slabs of the balun can be coupled to the the droopy bowtie antenna elements.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2010Date of Patent: November 12, 2013Assignee: Raytheon CompanyInventors: Angelo M. Puzella, Sergey Makarov, Patrick Morrison

Patent number: 8452305Abstract: System(s) and method(s) are provided to regulate telecommunication service in a confined area in which telecommunication is restricted. Regulation includes control of wireless resources and access thereto, and monitoring wireless activity and locating sources thereof within the confined area. Regulation can be accomplished through networked femtocell access points and distributed antenna systems. Control of wireless resources is accomplished through selective jamming within the confined area; selective jamming can be updated based on performance metrics of telecommunication service. Configurable lists that authorize mobile device(s) to consume wireless service within the confined area control access to wireless resources. Access can be granted or denied statically or dynamically. Monitoring of wireless activity within the confined area includes tracking and recordation of signaling or traffic activity.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2012Date of Patent: May 28, 2013Assignee: AT&T Mobility II LLCInventors: Arthur Brisebois, Patrick Morrison

Patent number: 5433040Abstract: A hopper-type window sash movable from a closed position within an opening in a frame to an open position in which the sash extends at an angle from one edge located in the frame opening. Hardware includes a pivot slide supporting such one edge of the sash for pivotal and sliding movement along integral tracks provided in the frame. Opposed control assemblies each include a frame pivot member directly mounted in an associated track and a sash pivot member directly mounted on the sash. A thin control strap is pivoted at one end on the frame pivot member, and at its other end on the sash pivot member. One pivot is releasable to allow easy access for mounting all hardware while the sash and frame are separated. The control strap moves through a narrow opening between the sash and frame, permitting multiple seals to effectively seal the window.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 1993Date of Patent: July 18, 1995Inventor: Patrick A.
