Abstract: A method for generating action recommendations for the driver of a rail vehicle or control signals for the rail vehicle by way of a driver assistance system. Taking at least one journey specification into account, driving data is calculated and on the basis of the driving data: an action recommendation is generated and displayed in an action recommendation display device or a control signal that acts on a vehicle control device is generated. In order to optimize such a method in relation to an energy requirement of the rail vehicle, at least one air pressure characteristic variable is taken into account as a journey specification.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for separating a composition of matter with the aid of a membrane cascade having at least two stages, in which a separation is effected in each stage at at least one membrane at a separation temperature set for the particular stage. The invention further relates to a corresponding membrane cascade, to the use of said membrane cascade for catalyst separation from homogeneously catalysed mixtures, and to a process for hydroformylation, in which the catalyst is separated by means of a membrane cascade. The problem addressed thereby is that of specifying a membrane-based process for separating compositions of matter, which has a minimum membrane area requirement and nevertheless fulfils the separation task and separation performance required. This problem is solved by the use of a membrane cascade with falling separation temperature.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for enabling adaptive per-antenna rate control based on network conditions for a wireless communication device (WCD). The WCD and a radio access network (RAN) may form a communication link that has multiple data streams, each data stream received by a different antenna of the WCD. Each data stream may have a different encoding, and thus a different data rate. Additionally, each encoding may have an associated signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) requirement to decode. The more complicated an encoding, the higher the data rate the encoding supports. However, more complicated encodings also need a higher SINR to decode. By first decoding a data stream with a low-complexity encoding, the data can be subtracted from a data stream having a more complicated encoding. Therefore, the SINR of the data stream having a more complicated encoding may be increased, and increase the likelihood of it being decodable.

A resource abstraction layer provides the extension platform with access to the resources provided at the application platform.
